CP Issue 2: Australia into ONE????????

Day 1,525, 01:12 Published in Australia China by srg91

When I see eAustralia, I think of a bunch of players who are loud, outspoken and divided on many issues within our community. I have played this game for almost 3 years, and I have seen Australia have internal fights for power, revenge or simply because we are bored (or if you are docterdry2 (love youuuuu long time cause you’re back)). However, whilst I believe the above is true, I also see that eAustralia’s citizens are tough, fierce and loyal to their cause.

When I see Australia, I see a nation that is battle hardened, isolated and outmanned for almost 3 years of playing. I see a nation that has been wiped almost every month for the last three years by our neighbour Indonesia. I see a nation that, despite our disadvantages has fought for, and continues to fight for every pixel not just for our nation but also for our allies. We continue to be faithful and committed to these alliances.

Some of our allies do not know our full history, but I think those who do cannot call us backstabbers, traitors or anything of the sort. If that isn’t for of the daily damage we give to you, it is because of the numerous times throughout these three years where we never gave up against Indonesia, where we never stopped despite being wiped over and over again.

I think it would be appropriate now to explain some issues that people, our allies included, have been questioning. I must first clarify and reaffirm eAustralias’ current political position. We are, as we have always been, true to our allies. Despite what you may have heard, eAustralia has no intentions of changing sides - either now or in the long foreseeable future. We will never forget our friends in Eden and Terra, and we are forever grateful for the help we have received. I think I speak for us all when I say that we hope for growth in our relationship, despite the fact we are no longer in this alliance.

China:
However, with this said, I must address this next section to our Chinese friends in particular. I do regret this greatly, but due to our agreement with Indonesia, we as government cannot fight against Indonesia, including any direct battles our allies are in. For this, I must apologise, and all I can do is ask for your forgiveness and understanding in this matter. Yet even though we are not fighting for China directly, our damage is locked in both Europe and America. I hope that through this, the Chinese can understand in their hearts that eAustralia is still trying our best as a nation to help our friends and allies in a different way.

The entire war business:
The final issue I would like to address is in regards to NZ, Australia and Argentina. People are confused about whether the current war between NZ and Australia - is it real or just a training war? To answer this question, I would first like to explain my actions towards Argentina. By now it is clear that we are in fact, blocking them from entering New Zealand.

Argentina:
At the start of this term, Binda and I approached Argentina about the possibility of giving Australia the region Chimor (for the fish bonus). The MoFA of Argentina decided that this would not be a good thing to commit to and so rejected the idea. We were disappointed but understood, and so we gave the idea of holding Chimor a rest.

The entire log can be found at: http://mibpaste.com/a1s3zv (dated January 12, 2012). However, two days later, one of my friends (name unidentified for security reasons), informed me of: http://mibpaste.com/98HPcb where the Argentina MoFA told Terra that we were changing sides. I asked Tim_Holts, one of our long term players, and he has also confirmed there was a recent rumour being spread regarding this apparent change in eAustralia’s alliance – a change of which even I am not aware. I am not sure why Argentina has spread such rumours against Australia in the first place, but be assured that even though we are a smaller country with less military force, we do not take such stabs in the back lightly.

New Zealand
Now allow me to explain where NZ comes into the picture. Roughly two to three months ago, eAustralia suffered a term where we had no congress and no regions. I do not think anyone has forgotten how weak eAustralia was during and after that ordeal. We saw two things just before our senate wipe – we were NE’d by Indonesia, and then we were NE’d by New Zealand. For all of our older players, we have fought NZ through “Training Wars” in the past, where both sides would attempt to invade but back off the moment the other side was winning. Our relationship was often strained and if we had an argument with NZ players, it would be a brilliant day for both sides if only insulting term New Serbland was being thrown about.

However, two months ago, under ex CP Helen Moon, NZ attempted to grab as many regions as they could so that eAustralia could RW them back asap just before the senate elections. They were also in talks with Indonesia behind the scenes, asking them to give us a senate back. For me, the fact that they had tried both politically and militarily to give eAustralia a chance at survival began to change my own opinion of New Zealand. For me, I believe that eAustralia should help any friends who have given us some form of help in our past.

Last month, Ronell and I worked hard to carry on a Training War between the two nations. For the time it existed, both sides worked extremely well. However, ONE was still dominating during that time and our defence of Tasmania often went into the 15th round. Due to the fact that NZ often had to defend our region from their own invasion, Ronell decided to give eAus a break to regroup. We went into no NE mode and NZ NE’d Chile to continue their training. Needless to say, I felt that both sides made some great progress in our relationship and created a chance to work together in the future.

This Current NE
When this month came, Australia was restless and needed a war. That was one of the reasons I approached Argentina for the region of Chimor, believing the extra 20% in food bonus would be a good goal to give to our people. With that idea rejected, as well as with Argentinas’ rumour, I was extremely annoyed at Argentina. NZ was in a pickle with Chile and Argentina NEing them, and asked us to give them a hand to close the War.

With the idea of 20% weapon bonus for a while, a NE and helping a friend, our first war/TW with NZ began and we wiped out NZ. We were in talks with Chile during that time to further our friendship and I noted how hard Argentina fought against Chile in the Auckland RW. NZ and Chile attempted to defend it, but was no match against Argentina’s military power.

Understanding that Chile would lose Auckland, NZ quickly asked Australia to take Auckland. Our senator PhoenixGreen beat the Argentina congress, giving us a 10 second NE advantage to start the Auckland battle. All of a sudden, Argentina became interested in changing regions. To me, this shows what kind of friend Argentina is - a fair weather friend who selfishly looks after its own interests and disregards its friends and allies. Currently, Argentina is calling for our head, for defending a nation who has helped us at one stage of our history. Not only that, but Argentina is lying to us, to EDEN and to Terra.

So this is where we are at, I hope eAustralian players understand this situation a lot better now with this explanation. To our allies and friends, I hope this has cleared up some of the issues that has emerged recently 🙂

P.S. NO we are not joining ONE, we still love our friends and allies 🙂
