Hey? How ya doin? Good? Well, welcome to today's Press Briefing.

Today, in an emergency and private meeting with Congressional leadership, President Melissa Rose finally admitted that she had accidentally done the right thing. "So I was just going along, scamming the American public out of their tax dollars, you know, like we and our secret cabal that controls every aspect of the country's government usually does?" It was at this point that the audience of long time politicos nodded, sharing a small smattering of appreciative laughter. "Well..." began the President again, more cautious and apologetic than previously, the audience leaning in with mild interest, "I kinda, sorta, maybe... did the right thing."

A hush overcame the chamber, and slowly the details of President Rose's proper and likely publicly popular misstep were outlined. The ensuing riots and near cannibalistic fervor which the scions of Pfeiffer and meta superiority exhibited were - thankfully - contained by a rapid deployment of the Congressional Reserve Armored Police units. The dutiful C.R.A.P. troopers quickly neutralized all hostile threats and were able to detain most rogue and rampaging politicians who had been present.

"Well, all things considered, they seem to be taking it well," the President was then quoted as saying of the incident. "At least nobody's knows we're actually sometimes a smart and capable governing body. Now that's a fiasco I don't wanna be around for." President Rose then retired to a new wing of the White House that had been constructed using strictly illegal immigrant labor and coated in the gold which had been melted down from the accounts of dead citizens while riding in a plush, velvet sedan chair carried by shirtless Malcolm Reynolds cosplayers.

Today, the cabinet discusse😛

• People are still fighting for USA in Japan but it's, like, whatever.
• Hey, did anyone have a chance to look into SCAM?
• Jessina? CarHugar? Walter? Anybody?
• I mean, it's not that important I guess.
• Anywho, does anyone know what kind of impact, if any, are we looking at on income after returning the Japanese regions?
• Is it really gonna be anything at all?
• Asking for a friend.
• So like what's up with Pacifica?
• I guess people are joining it or something.
• I mean, that's cool I suppose.
• Right?
• That's pretty alright.
• Should we be, like, telling people about stuff?
• I dunno, man, it seems like a thing we could do maybe.
• Probably.
• Wait, did Melissa mention that thing to Congress?
• Like the thing about other people joining the thing?
• Is that a thing that happened?
• Huh.
I guess she did.
• Ah well.
• That's cool or whatever, I guess though.
• Hey, did we request a USAF budget thingy?
• Oh, I guess we should get to that I think.
• I mean.
• I guess.

Today's Random Question for Aramec: If you were stuck on a remote island, what 3 things would you want to have with you?

Answer: the programming guide for the remote that I was on, a shrink ray to help me get bigger as I had obviously been shrunk down to size if it's a remote that I'm viewing as an island, and a DVD of season 2 of Firely.
