Well hi there. Glad to see you, and welcome to the daily Press Briefing.

There are frogs singing out in the yard.

The night air isn't lit with cold. It does not bite the back of the the throat. It is calm, and warm, like a lover's hand upon your face, and everything is as soft as the sunset.

The wind does not whisper through the needles and the grasses, it sighs, with light and mirthful contentment. And even when the blanket of night is cast upon the mantle of the world, it does not seem to dim it much. There is fire in the sky still, leftovers from a blue day spent, and the stars sip at the suns left rays like beers on a porch, like friends gathered at a campfire.

And you can smell wood burning; not coarse, not smoky. Pleasant, and wafting like a perfume. Rich but not overbearing, and as intoxicating as a kiss. Just the quiet course of nature intermingling with the life now given fire by the lack of winter's touch.

And in the distance you can hear cars, slipping tires lightly along pavements unseen, and the little wisps of river running watery fingers over the earth's face trickle to your ears. The blue drift of dusk can be felt as a breath upon the night's hair.

Everything is quietly thrumming. Everything is held, and breathing with determined life, with renewal. Those hearts are filled with memories of the last time the summer first sang, and it builds towards that great fire.

But it's not quite there yet. It's not heat and true brightness, but a warming. The first dry kindling of coals and the first lifting of cold dew off the ground's face. Spring has finally sprung to its feet, and it is gently dancing.
