Congressional Peer Review Results for 34th Congress

Day 1,066, 14:46 Published in USA USA by Claire Littleton

Hello America,

I write you today as the eUS Congress Speaker of the House of the 34th Congressional Term. Due to technical difficulties, this Peer Review will be brought to you in my personal paper as opposed to the Congressional Paper. The Congressional Peer Review Polls have been gone for quite some time, but the 34th Congress decided to bring them back for various reasons.

For those of you who aren't aware what the Congressional Peer Review is, it is simple. Each active member of Congress for the Term is given a survey where they rank their fellow members on a scale of 1-5 (with 1 Being Very Poor and 5 Being Very Well). They are also asked if they would like to see each Individual Congressperson be elected in the future. Lastly, they are asked who they feel was the Congressional MVP (most valuable player) in the Term. All the scores are then tallied and then averaged and you find the results below.

The reasons the review were brought back are not only to inform you, the Voters, how the Congressperson you elected have done in Congress this Term, but also to give the nation an idea of how well Congress is doing overall. Lastly, the review was continued to provide the Top 5 Party Presidents with an avenue to determine how well their party's Congresspeople are doing. This could either deter the Party President to run a candidate again or reinforce their candidate list.

To the Results:

1) Average Peer Ranking of Each Member Based on a 1-5 Scale with 5 Being Excellent

As you can see, ligtreb is the Top Ranked this month. Congrats to ligtreb! Keep in mind that those in the light blue shade did not participate due to choice or absence.

Overall, the majority of Congress ranked a 3 or higher. 3 is considered average and most scored above average.

2) Percentage of Peers who Would Like to see Corresponding Member in Congress Again

This table shows that the 34th Congress worked quite well with each-other and felt that most members deserve to be elected again.

As Speaker of the House, I feel that this is one of the main reasons this Term has been one of the most active and productive in quite some time.

3) Most Valuable Players in Congress based on Peer Nominations

Congratulations to Deputy Speaker of the House SGGHays! Congress has spoken! You have been extremely active this term and I couldn't have asked for a better Deputy. Thank you for your hard work.

4) Overall Congressional Performance based on 1-10 Scale (10 is Excelllent) by Congresspeople

As you can see, the average for both Effectiveness and Efficiency both lie around a 7, which falls in the area of "Good." When asked why they voted the way they did, the biggest complaint was that Congress doesn't have enough to do based on In-Game Responsibilities. Many felt that Congress' only job is to determine tax and would like more responsibility. This isn't the fault of anyone, but the game itself. Congress would like to see the Admin add more responsibility for the elected Congress.

In Conclusion

Congress this term has been one of the most active in recent history who have accomplished a lot in regards to taxes and oversight. This Congress has worked very well with each other providing great discussions about various activities. I feel another reason this Congress has succeeded is because we worked more closely with the Executive Branch in terms of National goals, (i.e. Operation Monkey Business). I would like to thank this Congress for being as productive and efficient as they were and hope that this Peer Review influences the coming elections.

Thank you all for reading this and please keep this Review in mind when voting for the 35th Congress on the 25th.

Sincerely,
Claire Littleton
-Speaker of the House
