Congressional Laws

Day 1,287, 20:44 Published in Australia Australia by Aceas

Readers,

First, I want to thank you for all that voted for me. I am looking forward to this upcoming month. It means a lot to me to serve the people of Queensland once more.

I am going to give you a short run down of the important laws that were passed and rejected these last couple of days, just how I promised.

One main law I wanted to cover was the tax change on weapons.

When I saw this law proposal I was shocked to see the 50% import tax. Mostly being we have a lot of foreign contributors for our weapons. I voted NO. This law was PASSED, 18 voted yes and 11 no.
Why did I vote no?
That is a huge percent and seeing it for the good of the people to have weapons available I voted no. I know you would rather give your money to eAustralian citizens, but that is giving up too much.

Then a couple of days after that law was passed, another was proposed on weapons. This proposal had 20% import tax. This was much more appealing and I voted YES. This law was then PASSED, 25 voted yes and 5 voted no.
Why did I vote yes?
20% is better than 50%. Some owners may take there business elsewhere, but now you can buy eAustralian most of the time. We didn't loose a large chunk of our market by doing this either.

Alliances:

USA

Croatia

I voted YES on these alliances.

On all the donation proposals, I voted YES. It is nice to have money in the bank.

Again, thank you everyone who voted for me and thanks for reading. I will do these about once a week to keep you informed.
