Congressional How To Guide

There are alot of players in this game that would like to change America for the better. I am a 4 time congressman and so I would like to let anyone that want's to participate in congress know how to get in and what to do once your there.

I started this game striving to be involved in politics and the military. First off when I joined it was right before the military disaster World War 3. I joined the top party due to a recruitment letter and then joined the Training Division. I loved playing and quickly became a CO in TD. But my party work was non-existent and all I did was block month after month.



Fast forward to a few months later. We had gained all our regions back and I was once again trying to run for congress. The game makes it look easy, you join a party and click run for congress right? Wrong, In fact I joined the Democrats which were a sixth party at the time and ran a campaign for Colorado. In the comments of my congressional article I was told good luck but try again another time and they explained congress and linked me to the wiki. It turns out that you have to be in a top five party and that each of the top five parties have an application process.

I joined the Federalists at the time they were the smallest top five party. I asked to run and was told the process. Basically that I had to be an active member of the party and that I would have to work for what I wanted.

Ok enough of my story you want to know how to get into congress right?

Step one: Join a top five party. The USWP, FEDs, LIBS, SEES, UIP.

Step two: Get involved in that party with a party job. If you can't run this month volunteer to be a blocker or a mobile voter it gets your name out there.

Step three: Fill out the application for Congressional candidates when your party puts it out on their forums.

Step four: If selected to run write an awesome campaign article telling people why you want to be in congress and what you have to offer.

Step five: Mobile vote for your party as a candidate. I did this every election I ever participated in. You can't always win and if your in a state that can't be saved its best to get another party member elected and try again next month. Trust me this helps your rep and will get you more party support in the future.

Step six: Explore the public sections of the congress board on the us forums and lurk in the congress room #eus-congress

Great you made it to congress now what do you do?


Step one: Sign in on the eUSA forums

Step two: Participate in the debates and ask questions.

Step three: Don't bring up taxes. Fact is they have been the same for as long as I have played a few small changes have been made but unless you have the data to back your argument up you will just be belittled and trolled.

Step four: Be sure to sign in weekly for quorum.

Step Five: All that gold you got from your treasure map....Donate it. Give it to an country ran project or even back to the party org that helped you get elected. Don't be selfish.

Step six: Congrats your a successful active congressman so run again.
