Congressional Fallout and Williams Departure from Singapore

Greetings fellow eSingapore denizens,

First, While I think I thanked you for electing me, I wanted to again thank you all for electing me a few short days ago to be a congressional member of this nation.

Now, I wish I could tell you all is well but a few things have happened in the past few days.

First, 2 of our congress have quit. They were good enough to run, Good enough to get elected... Good enough to take your 5 gold for their victories. Then they were "good" enough to quit for selfish reasons.

William Shafer got elected despite claiming he never wanted to get elected. Infact he called the people who voted for him idiots. Anyway, he flipped his wig and left the nation after screwing up two companies (Now returned to us) and looting the gold from those companies (Now also returned). He's done nothing sense but run his mouth and occupy the now non-official IRC channel.

SheShe came in and ran for congress. After being elected and voting once, she quit. Her stated reasons were so she could go fight. She was less than graceful about how she felt like she didnt rip the people off and deserved the 5 gold.

Needless to say, I have vowed that if it is in my power, NEITHER of these two people will ever get elected here again. They have done our nation a dis-service and have misled you, the people.


So what this means for us, eSingapore, is that we are now running at 8 Congress votes instead of our 10. We lost 2 seats that could have been filled with people who intended to actually serve out their terms and were not just medal/gold seeking. It means that next election, 2 incumbants wont be running though (Unless SheShe shows her face up and attempts to run and flys in voters to get her elected again).


Anyway Singapore, I again thank you for allowing me to serve you. I will NOT quit before my term is done, I will stay here and vote according to our nations interests. I will run for Re-Election if it benifits this community of ours. I will be here for our nation where others of less conviction wont and hopefully they stay the hell out of our nation as their ilk isnt wanted here.
