Congress update - Day 839

Day 839, 01:49 Published in South Africa South Africa by mulderpf

This weekend was very eventful for congress. We had to be evacuated twice - the first time when Limpopo was invaded we were taken to Gauteng. Whilst Stephen van Joergborg and his mates found themselves basements apartments in Hillbrow to move into, the rest of congress jumped into action to restore the Union Buildings after Brazil neglected it when since they took occupation of Gauteng.

Then, Gauteng was invaded and before we knew it, we had to be evacuated to Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. Stephen van Joergborg and his mates wanted to stay, but we couldn't just leave them there - we decided to go find him in his new flat in Hillbrow. I went along as the photographer and here you can see Mr van Joergborg hiding under the table in his new apartment, with a few of us trying to get him to come with:

Once we got to Nelspruit, the local council was kind enough to give us a temporary office to occupy, so that we could do our jobs. Within hours, the enemy started invading Mpumalanga, but the loyal members of congress decided to sit tight. We will not be defeated! As the tanks started rolling in and with the sound of gunfire in the background, I spotted Nickerball guarding her newbie lists with her life:

It's getting lonely in what's left of the country and supplies are running low as well. We have decided we will stick it out all the way. Mulder Enterprises was kind enough to sponsor us with some food. Here's what was delivered for lunch:

Soon this will be over and we'll have our country back. Hang in there everyone - we will come back stronger than ever before!
