Congress time

Funny how a month flies by.

I'll be standing for Congress again. As the nation moves towards many complex and difficult decisions, a cool and decisive head is needed.

I believe that I have that, and my Congress terms so far have, I hope, showed that I can make these decisions, helped to create unity and understanding, and moved minds closer together. I have been active in a positive way, at a time when eRep has been in crisis. But things are coming to a head. What are these things?

1. The whisper of war. If and when the eUK goes to war, it is important that it is affordable, and that it is sensible. Congress need to be well appraised of a situation that could easily move rapidly.
2. The recent theft of Government companies. Although a one-off, and carried out by one person, making sure this does not happen again will likely mean legislation. This should be as watertight as possible, which is a job of experience.
3. The recent trend of mudslinging to get votes. This is something that not only do I find deeply distasteful, it also lowers the standard of debate, and opens the door to less qualified candidates.

All in all, I would be part of the side that tries to make this work. I am a member of the eUK and proud, and will work for its betterment, but I also realise this is a game, first and foremost - so making us better is all about understanding the game, and in most ways forgetting politics.

I hope you can see your way to voting for me.
