Im talking about when he was banned from eCanada forums/Congress forums.

I've made an edit to the article to hopefully remove the confusion around my wording.

The decision by congress to pardon Rolo was bad one, few will disagree on that.
Few will agree on how to fix the result of it.

I would argue that Rolo has helped keep certain players in the game. He has given them something to fight against, a reason to keep playing.

Ask those involved in the whole Exiled Canadians thing and most, if honest, will tell you it was fun and help break the boring old routine.

ppdanny was recently removed from the moderation staff for having banned multiple users without cause on several occasions.

Looks to me like this is more of a personal vendetta than anything.

Seems to me you all give Rollo so much time and thought nowonder he does things to piss you all off he's getting all the attention he desires i think you all concern yourself far to much with him

This is pointless - we are trying to ban him for what? So that he stops playing us for fools? Wreaking havoc on a bunch of apothetic political parties that filled with a bunch of two-clickers?

Did he steal funds from eCanada? Did tank up for our enemies? I think we need to save bans for more serious issues.

Completely agreed. It only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch.

Considering how much of a clusterf*ck the politics of eCanada are and how many leaders have abandoned their posts without completing their term, a bought vote is the only sure thing for the common man to keep from flipping out.

I am not a huge fan of Rolo, but then in the same hand I like him because he makes many, such as myself stride hard to get members active, politics more honourable and all that Jazz. I do not believe we should ban him, let him be who he is, and we can all try and improve ourselves and clean up some of the eCanadian political mess. Banning him is the easy way out, and as a Canadian I do not believe that is what we should do.

We have to beat him here, in-game, by making his votes buying worthless, his PTO attempts futile, his support minor...

As far as I know there is only way option that might get rid of Rolo and that would be to ditch him on another country by making it look appealing to him and that is a pretty crappy idea and really won't work. As far as I know everything else has been attempted already.

@JoeyJoJo Shabbadoo Actually he did steal funds from eCanada, that is why a lot of people are still butthurt....This created the exiles who, in an attempt to dispose of Rolo, tank against eCanada.

For the people here who think about this as something that is about what happened in IRC (where I willingly resigned my position, even after I was asked not to resign), please find something new to troll about. This stuff has been in discussion between myself and others for well over a month already. I started this article to elicit some outside opinions - such as those of the people who left eCanada solely due to Rolo's pardon. This was also released in time to coincide with the recent vote...

Look, I bow to no one when it comes to my dislike of Rolo. I was in Congress when he was impeached as President, and I literally saw him sell government companies and their assets to his friends or himself then loot the treasury. And I've seen him take over EPIC like a thief in the night. Rolo's sole and only interest is in Rolo and his notion of, from time to time, behaving like a terrorist. And thanks to the laws of the game there is not a damned thing we can do about it.

We can't get him banned from the game. We can't exclude him from running for election. And apparently we can't keep him from stealing political parties from the people who work hard for them. Well maybe if enough of us who don't like Rolo were return to what was EPIC and voted his sorry ass out we could do something. Banning Rolo from the Congressional Forums is probably the one sanction we're allowed. Banning Rolo from the forums does nothing, except maybe make a few people feel better.

its not going to do anything. give your head a shake. banned, not banned, rolo still plays the game and his way of playing works for him.

no matter how much it infuriates you there is no EASY way to fix this problem. The anti rolo faction cant run away and fight against eCanada to make him go away, they cant cry in the usa till he goes away (besides the yanks have their own rolo lol), you cant BAN him away, there is no magical 1 click solution.

i think its absolutely hilarious that this country successfully worked together to stop both a hungarian PTO many years ago and a Romanian one recently, this was an effort we made together that other groups of players have failed when faced.

so we know we can fight an outside threat, but we seem unwilling to fight an inside one.

And any time we have a loss we throw our hands in the air and quit instead of trying again.

He was unbanned in the naive hope that he would stop PTO'ing parties. How did that work out? He failed his parole, throw him back into ban. If it doesn't matter to him then why do the people who want him not banned again care so much to defend him? It you think it doesn't matter, why do you care so much. Those of us who do care, think it matters. You think it doesn't matter, we do, that should make for an easy decision what to do.

I vote Rolo off our Island.
