Congress II - The Battle of Good Sense

Day 671, 04:45 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by DillTheDog

London, heartbeat of the country, seat of our industry, powerhouse of our economy. Hello.

When I first joined eRepublik, I was immediately struck by the many different ways in which I could get involved as a citizen. However, while a new player, I found many obstacles in the way of my enjoyment. With the benefit of hindsight, I can now say that some of them were necessary, and prevented me from making mistakes due to my inexperience. However, others seemed to be unnecessary obstacles to my enjoyment. It was difficult to find work. It was difficult to make ends meet. It was difficult to get together the essentials of eLife. Above all it was difficult to know exactly what was going on. I wanted to play, and things were stopping me playing...

I have decided to stand again as a candidate for Congress. Last month I felt compelled to help my nation, and had a feeling that the economy would be one of the major issues of these times. There are many people now actively working to increase the number of citizens in the eUK. But we also need the economic structure to allow it, and the economic issues are the reasons why I have chosen to seek re-election.

.To help create a strong economic basis to allow cheaper food, cheaper weapons, and healthier citizens.
.To ensure that there is enough confidence in our economic system to encourage new businesses to start up.
.To ensure that businesses are properly helped to supply stable, well paid jobs.
.To ensure that players can make sensible investment decisions to make money.

This is my strong point, and is recognised by the fact I am Director of the Reserve Bank of the UK for the last six weeks, announced yesterday http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/current-treasury-team-948398/1/20

I am also a Londoner who has returned to his roots. London is by far the most populous region of the eUK, so problems for citizens are multiplied. Wellness-poverty, poor jobs, difficulty in finding information, and someone to help. Due to the sheer numbers involved, the problems are more difficult to resolve. This is why I have chosen to become part of the London Council, which does great work in addressing these issues, but wants to do more. If you are in that position, please do join us. There is help on offer:

A final warning!

With the recent vote to abolish the Lords, it has become even more important that clear heads, diplomats, negotiators and country oriented Congresspeople are needed. Party does not matter. Good sense does. Make your vote count

Vote for the chance to make the eUK a better place.
