Congress elections November 2012

Day 1,833, 01:17 Published in United Kingdom USA by Lisamunusira

The results just before closing:
UKPP 11 seats, had 8 seats (+3) 185 votes, 27.99% of total, 61.87% of members
TUP 10 seats, had 13 seats (-3) 164 votes, 24.81% of total, 62.60% of members
NE 8 seats (7 NE had 10 (-3) 1 WRP (+1)), 134 votes, 20.27% of total, 80.72% of members (NE + WRP)
ESO 7 seats (5 ESO (-1) 2 PCP (+2)), 120 votes, 18.15% of total, 89.55% of members (ESO + PCP)
UKRP 4 seats had 3 (+1) 58 votes, 8.77% of total, 71.60% of members
Total seats 40, total votes 661, 65.84% of party members voted.

Now we have to wait whether admins will delete votes. This will be clear on 6 hours eRep time.

It is clear that UKPP is the big winner (+3) and that TUP and NE lost the most seats (-3 both). Minor loss for ESO (-1) and minor gain for UKRP (+1).
PCP (+2) and WRP (+1) makes the congress more diverse. Good action from ESO and NE to let these parties run under their banners. It would be nice when other non top 5 parties will get this chance too next election.

New members
I think UKPP impressive recruitment drive from the last two weeks was the most important leading to this result. Congrats! I do hope they can keep their new members alive.

The big fight in media and ingame messages between TUP and NE seems to be not leading in their favours.

All parties except for UKPP were more or less the same in members the last two weeks, with a little gain in membership we see for UKRP and a little loss for TUP.

Congrats to all who have voted!
