Congress Election - Results and discussion

I'm not much one for writing articles, but I can't think of a better way to procrastinate from studying right now so here I go.



The results are in for the recent congress election

There was a total of 167 votes put forward and they were distributed as follows:

APP (Australian Parliamentary Party) - 43 votes (25.75% of all votes, 104.88% of party size) = 10 Congress seats

ARP (Australian Revolutionary Party) - 38 votes (22.75% of all votes, 79.17% of party size) = 9 Congress seats

KHMC (Knight Hawks Military Council) - 36 votes (21.56% of all votes, 92.31% of party size) = 9 Congress seats, but only 6 congressmen put forward, so 3 waisted seats

APP (Australia Pride Party)- 26 votes (15.57% of total votes, 144.44% of party size) = 6 Congress seats but only 4 left after Multi deletion / party not putting enough candidates forward, so 2 waisted seats. I did not see how many candidates the Pride party put forward leading into the election, so I cannot be sure the reason for their seats not being allocated.

ALF (Australian Liberation Front) - 24 votes (14.37% of total vote, 114.29% of party size) = 6 Congress seats

So all in all, a reasonable turn out for the election, unfortunately marred by party presidents not putting enough candidates forward as well as a party



Now I am mad and disappointed. Firstly I am mad that the KHMC did not put forward more candidates, or offer the 6th place party G&G to have the remaining candidate places. This action cost the eAus economy 15 gold, which is just gone, never to be seen, and to put eAus further behind the other nations.

I am mad at the admins for giving the Australian Pride Party who yesterday had 24 (or maybe 25) members ANY SEATS. If a party creates multi's to get into a position to hold congress seats (top 5 parties), then when the multi's are deleted they should not get to hold on to their spot.

So I wrote a ticket

In relation to the recent congress election in eAustralia, the Australia Pride Party was the 4th largest party with 24 (or 25) members, after cleaning out multi's as part of the election, their membership declined to 18, which puts them in 6th position which means they should not have been eligible for congress seats. I ask that you put any candidates from the Green and Gold party, which was 6th during the election due to the multi's created by the Australia Pride Party, into the seats held by the successful candidates of the Australia Pride Party. Also, it seems odd that their vote count is so high (8 more than their now current member base), due to their non-presence in the forums, ingame articles and the fact that they are widely known as a party for multi's in eAus. It seems like there are probably mutli's that weren't detected by the election bot, or that the votes were not removed for this party given the multi accounts removed.

So I ask that you replace the Australia Pride Party congressmen with candidates under the Green and Gold party who missed out (I am not a member of their party, but feel they were unfairly punished due to lack of multi management by eRep leading up to the election when I know a ticket was submitted from another eAus player warning of the Australia Pride Party probably putting multi's into the party leading up to the election). The fact that the 8 multi's appear to have been banned seems like a fairly weak punishment considering the benefits received by doing the process.

I have only just written this, so haven't received a response yet, but I doubt they will do anything.

I just thought I would write this article to explain the results, and to vent my anger towards the admins for allowing the Pride Party to continue to create multi's without consequence.

EDIT

I have just found out that it appears no multi's have been banned from the Pride Party, they have just relocated to the G&G party, more than likely to sit and wait until the next election where they will return to block G&G from gaining congress seats.

It has been 24 hours, but I still have not received a response from the admins on my ticket
