RE: Today’s RW victory

November 23, 2010

Dear Bolivia,

I just wanted to tell you that, when talomedina and Arturo Espinoza contacted me and told me about today’s resistance war to get back the Altiplano from Argentina, I jumped up and got to work. I wrote an article on the subject, advertised it, got a little bit of feedback, and while I’ll never know if anyone followed me to Bolivia to fight for the resistance, I at least shouted to the world that there was a noble fight to fight.

I do take a degree of pride in using Argentine weapons against Argentine defenders.

I’m very pleasantly surprised to see the Bolivian forces win the battle by an 8-1 margin. That tells me the powers that be were very well organized and prepared. I’m happy to know Bolivia has the means to take care of bullying neighbors, and I hope that means Argentina will think long and hard before trying to overrun the country again.

Hello, Ernesto_Guevara and Jesusfbo.

Bolivia will always have a special place in my heart, and I always tell the tale of how Ernesto asked me to come and be part of the original community there, how we struggled with PTO’s and invasions in those early days. They are lessons well learned, and I’ve acted on it throughout my travels. I live in New Zealand these days, and I tell the new community here what I know about young Bolivia, and perhaps our country won’t have the same tribulations Bolivia had. We count our blessings.

Recently, whenever Ernesto or talomedina tell me there’s a battle or a PTO about to happen, I’ve come running. I was in Bolivia for most of September and the start of October, helping you get the Argentines out of the government by lending my votes, my newspaper, my wits, a little gold, whatever I could give. I don’t do that with every country in the world, but then again, not every country is Bolivia.

I’m sure I’ll be back again. I know my contributions to today’s victory were little, just those of a writer playing soldier for a day, but I do hope it means something to somebody, that I haven’t forgotten you, and that I care.

Congratulations on winning back the Altiplano.

Your friend,
Arjay Phoenician.
