Dear my friends,
Admins have been experimenting with new modules, not listening to players and basically being executives for a game that doesn't call for them.
This is erepublik, no one plays erepublik because they like to click "work" and set their hours.
No one plays erepublik because they like to "study".
No one plays erepublik because they like the headless chicken.
We play because of this.

We play for the community. WE make this game. It's what we do that makes this game enjoyable. This is our game. WE make the content for it. Admins simply take credit for what actually makes people stay and play.
Don't quit on behalf of the modules because that's not what makes erepublik great.
We are a community. You are important to us. WE don't want to lose you.
Come united erepublik. Don't leave because the admins changed bits of the game because that's not what was keeping you here in the first place. It was the community, your friends, comrades, and even your enemies. We are all tied together.

I think this is the first time I`ve ever agreed with something Coda said. 😎

I agree with the call for unity, but I disagee with the last statement. It's "not listening to players" that's got so many people so upset, and that's nobody's job. Not only that, it's a very foolish way to run a business.
Coda, I don't want to make arguments for quitting, I'm trying to find argument for staying.
Here's the questions I am legitimately asking myself:
Is the game so structured now that it is actually a refutation of the community's best instincts?
Are the underlying values which the game embodies one I agree with?
NikolaiJ, Stephanos Primus if either of you have been paying attention to international media you would see what I'm talking about. They are calling out the admins on very specific issues, or sending them tickets to which they either do not respond or say "thanks for submitting we will look into this" thats not enough. Like I said, this game isn't built on what the admins have done with it. Its built upon the community that has FORMED around it. Despite what they have done to it.
Good questions Rigour6. The game itself has changed in structure. However the community will always be there. I would have preferred some other methods as to REWARD players. I find that erepublik has lost a lot of its reward system so players get very little back. That being said though, there are always other ways to get involved with the community and gaining rewards in other ways. Such as making a cabinet, or achieving a high rank in a military. Even though these things generally do not reflect in the game (which they should), its still a reward in a sense.
It is only the beginning of a new adventure. Yes, actualy, a lot of fine tunings are required, but admin wont have choice and set everything, one by one to be as it should be: a war game!
This community you speak of wouldn't be much of a community without the internal workings of erepublik. Ultimately, everything is centered around what the community does, and what the community does is centered around what the admin allows them to do. The internal working of eRepublik is what unites the people.
