Come in... bzzt... come in.

Day 758, 11:27 Published in Australia Australia by Ari Lazarus
"Bzzzzt ... come in Mike X-Ray Oscar, X-Ray Oscar do you read me, over?"

"Affirmative, Command. This is X-Ray Oscar, over."

"What the hell happened out there Lieutenant?""

"We ran into a couple of those FAB bastards and got mixed up in the firefight. A Spanish soldier pulled me behind a brick wall when the RPGs started flying. Poor guy got shredded in the leg from the sharpnel."

"Where were the other AAR squads? Platoon 2 and 3 were supposed to be in your area!"

&quot😉on't know, Command. We were supposed to meet up with ... Zulu Two and Charlie Three, but they were nowhere near the LZ and we had to hit the ground firing. We were back to back with a couple Canuck and Yank squads in the battlezone, and they looked as lost as we were, sir."

&quot😉id you at least manage to deploy the Freshly Organic Odorous Distraction?"

"We did sir, but those pastry weapons we got from Experimental Labs didn't do a single thing to them, sir. They just took our bread and ate it. They ate all our bread. I think it would've been more effective to throw rocks at them, sir."

"Well, damn. So much for 'feeding them to death'. Any casualties?"

"Copped a couple of bullets in the firefight sir. Couple of the squad are hit as well but they'll live. Pretty sure the Canucks and Yanks are dead now, sir. There was no way we could get into position to support them. A tank just blew their entire position apart when they were mending their wounded in an alley. We couldn't do anything to help them."

"Alright. Where is your squad now?"

"Charlie Oscar just went to check on injuries, we'll probably reach Ayer's Rock in about an hour. I heard we got an outpost there that'll airlift us back to Adelaide, so we'll try to make it before Private Bleeds-a-lot here dies on us."

"Alright, take care Lieutenant, we'll see you on the ground in Day 759. Good luck. Command over and out."
