Citizen B for DAL Party President
Hello to my fellow Democratic Action League (DAL) party members. I am here-by announcing my candidacy for DAL Party President. I have been the Party President of the Democratic Action League twice before including this past term. During my membership in DAL, we have made a lot of great accomplishments, including:
- Growing the DAL party to over 600 members – some more active and some less active. This makes the DAL party the 23rd largest in eRepublik.
- Forging ties with other parties that we have not been as close as others; including the Canadian Progressive Front (CPF) and Union Nationale.
- Running the most exciting presidential election in eCanadian history; a nail-biter where our candidate, Derek Harland, lost to the incumbent by only four votes. This could have only been better if we actually won.
There is more work to do. I request your vote for me for Party President so that I can continue some of the efforts I am involved with. These include further alliances with other Canadian political parties; electing a joint candidate to the Canadian presidency; kicking off the opening of DAL Industries. There has been discussion of areas within the DAL party that need some improvement, so I will describe my feelings on these as follows:
DAL Committees: We do need some effort on these fronts. For the most part, I would close the majority of the committees. The reason being is that most active DAL members take part in Committee activities. These activities would be better well run with the input of all active DAL members in the member’s forum.
Inter-party relationships: DAL has done a great job making new allies. We could do a better job retaining our older allies. With my strong leadership, I intend on continuing to engage all of these parties and continue to build our ties.
Membership activity & communication: We do need to do a better job of fostering activity from our less active members. This will improve the strength of our forums, IRC channels and our public presence. Our in-game chat room has been virtually non-existent. I would like this improve.
Media Activity: I have tried to improve our media activity by getting some of our more active members involved. As of yet, this has not had a major impact. One of my primary goals this term will be devoting more energy to making improvements in our media strength.
As you probably know, when I take on a challenge, I give it my all. I believe that my effort and thoughts show that I am serious. I have the energy and drive to work hard for the DAL Party and help make it into the best party not only in eCanada, but in eRepublik. Please show me your support on election day and vote for me - Citizen B. I will not let you down.
