Citizen B for Congress - Alberta - DAL

Day 608, 01:04 Published in Canada Canada by Citizen B

Greetings to my fellow Albertans in these exciting and precarious times in our eCountry’s history. With this release of the Independent eDaily News, I am officially announcing my run for Congress for the Province of Alberta with the Democratic Action League (DAL) party. I am well qualified to help lead Canada during this war as Congressman of Alberta. Because of the precarious situation our nation now faces, I shall get right to the point by discussing my military views.

Defense and Security – Since the invasion of sovereign eCanada by France and her PEACE member supporters, and with Russia at our doorstep, eCanada has never been in a more perilous situation. We have lost several of our provinces and ordinary, hard-working Canadians are fleeing for their lives. We are threatened by our former allies – the British – who deviously planned with Hungary and other PEACE nations to divide up our soil. And we will never forget about the Cobra terrorist organization – now called the Nationalist Socialist Party - who sold off Canada’s most secret military documents to those who would do us harm to satisfy their greed and divide our country.

We must protect Canada and Alberta - at all costs - from the enemies at her gates. I will work with our President, our military leaders, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our Allies to turn back this murderous, fascist horde and give my life for eCanada if that is what it takes. Never more fitting words have been said, than those of Winston Churchill, which I shall take liberty with here: “We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in the eUSA, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend eCanada, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.”

Regarding terrorism and espionage, I pledge to work with the full Canadian government administration to root out enemy spies, government moles and traitorous citizens. Terrorists will be tried, and if found guilty, be permanently banned from Canada forever. The same will apply to corrupt government ministers who have put Canada in danger by stealing the funds we needed to support the most important of Canadian governmental entities - the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Foreign spies will be summarily executed. Supporting the CAF and our allied forces is our most important mission. I believe in strong global alliances. Our defense depends vitally on the military help of our allies. And for the record - I have ALWAYS said NO to PEACE.

My Qualifications Who is Citizen B? The following are my accomplishments since I have started playing eRepublik:

- Current Minister of Citizenship and Immigration (CI) – Under my skilled management CI has implemented a program to bring foreign fighters to eCanada to help in our defense and bolster the populations of our most important provinces. We have also carried out a program to evacuate eCanadian citizens trapped behind enemy lines.

- Current DAL Party President – Having only run last week, I garnered over 90% of the votes (200 in all) in the DAL PP elections, due to my success at growing the party and helping new Canadian citizens.

- Current eCanadian Ambassador to eRomania, one of our most important allies. I have initiated contacts within the Romanian Government and Military and helped bring the Romanian elite soldiers here to Canada to fight help defend our beloved nation.

- CAF reserves soldier – I have quickly achieved the rank of Captain on the battlefield.

- Current DAL party Recruitment Committee Chairperson – Under my leadership, we have grown the DAL party by 1000% in less than two months and have made DAL the largest party in eCanada.

- A friend to eCanada and the world. In my short time here, I have made many friends in this eWorld, over 1000 to date. (That is more than the membership of the two largest political parties in eCanada.)

- I run two successful businesses, an organization and a newspaper And I have been active in the eCanada forums, the DAL forums and irc.

In short, I am highly motivated and ambitious. I am not power hungry. I plan to bring this hard work and dedication to my duties as a Congressmen of Canada. I plan to run an honest, ethical, clean political campaign. I feel I am as qualified, if not more qualified, than my worthy opponents in this race.

Platform As a team, DAL put together the following platform that benefits all Canadians. I have adopted this platform wholeheartedly, and should I be elected to Congress in the July elections, I will endeavor to carry out my duties to all Canadians, according to the values expressed in the DAL party platform that I urge you all to rea😛

The DAL Platform for All Canadians

Additional major points of my platform that I will be focusing on during my term are as follows:

Economics - there are currently some serious problems with the economy. The new administration under Jacobi has made some strides, but progress has been very slow. I supported the Dean22 tax proposals. Since the war has begun, however, big economic problems are growing. Jobs are being lost. Unemployment is rising. Salaries are being cut. Many Canadian businesses are still suffering. We have workers to make the guns that eCanada and our allies need to fight, yet the companies are not being created. I recently applied for a government loan to start a weapons business that would sell guns at cost. I sent messages to our Minister of Finance. I have yet to even hear a response after a week. That shows me that the government is not moving as expeditious as it should to both help win the war, and to improve the economy. I will help fix these problems.

I continue to support competitive import tariffs where warranted. At the same time, the value of the loonie (Canadian dollar) must be reduced to levels that place prices of Canadian products in line with that of other high producing nations. Some are concerned that their dollar will no longer be worth the same amount of gold, but it will not really matter if your salaries are rising. Reductions in global value have shown in the past like increases in salary rates. Our present level has not worked well and it is one of my goals to correct that. Then, instead of lowering the minimum wage like some in Congress recently proposed (before the war), we would likely be able to raise it. And if we can get more Canadians off of the unemployment rolls and have more Canadian businesses profiting, we will have more income to support the CAF and other government organizations - without imposing a wartime raise in the income tax as some have proposed.

Government reform - we have made some strides in improvement to the Canadian government since the previous administrations, but we have a lot more work to do. The Cobra situation and recent enemy spying attempts have shown that there are still disreputable citizens operating within Canadian government. It time to vote out the rift-raft and bring new dedicated Canadian citizens into office. I fit that bill. I will continue to support additional governmental openness by continuing to hold open congressional debate in the Canadian forums.

Other foreign affairs - To keep our power in this world and to keep tabs on our friends and enemies alike, Canada should have an working ambassador in every country. We have been slow in implementing this and too many of our Ambassadors accept the title and do absolutely nothing. Clear evidence of this can be found by visiting the eCanada Center and seeing that to-date, only four ambassadorial offices have been set up. As congressman, I will see we make major stride in improving our Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic communications with other countries, so that we can avoid future surprises similar to the eUK allowing Hungary to invade Scotland, sparking this war. We will continue work on developing Fortis, and other alliances, to avoid future problems with securing our borders and keeping eCanada strong.

New Canadian Citizens - no DAL presentation would be complete without a discussion of our new citizens. Every day, a dozen or more new players join eRepublik in the great nation of Canada. These new citizens are the future blood of Canada. They are the workers we need to grow our business. They are the business owners we need to grow our economy. They are the newspaper writers we need to educate, entertain, and grow our diversity. They are the voters we need to bring the government accountability that we have so sorely needed for a long time. These are the politicians we need to improve our government and build our great society. And they are the CAF soldiers we need to make Canada strong against the threats we face in this world. I have spent countless hours contacting our new citizens through my activities as the DAL Recruitment Committee Chairperson. Time and time again, I find that the Canadian government and other organizations are failing our new citizens. They are not learning how to be successful at eRepublik. Many become frustrated and leave. If we fail these new citizens - we fail Canada itself. As Congressmen, I will endeavor to take steps to ensure a systematic program is in place to help these new citizens and help Canada itself. I will also endeavor to take steps to reestablish the Canadian University, that previous administrations have let fall by the wayside.

After reading this presentation, If anything, one cannot say that Citizen B never gives it his all. I believe that my effort and thoughts put into this presentation shows that I am serious. And it shows that I have the energy and drive to work hard in Congress to defeat our enemies and help Canada be the country in this eWorld that is rightfully should be - number one. Please show me your support on election day and vote for me - Citizen B. I will not let you down.
