Circle of Truth : what's the truth ?

It's been a long time since I've written an article in English, but I figured the France-Belgium war was a good occasion to do so. Let's start !


As some of you may remember if you read me since the beginning, this isn't my first article about CoT. I have already wrote one at the moment when CoT was announced, mocking their name and logo with parodies of it. It seems I got that wrong, and that their name was the result of a good thinking.
Why ? Some of you may ask. Because CoT stands for Circle of Truth, and not Circle of Trust. And the truth is, they're Poland and Serbia's pets.

Right now, CoT is seen as an alliance which protect even the weakest of them against oppressors, thanks to the France-Belgium War. From the voice of CoT, we can read this :


Yeah, congrats for being able to win against a country weakened by months of occupation. You're the best !

From Belgium official newspaper, the belgian CP, Alexandross, doesn't only thanks CoT, but also TWO. I'm quoting "My faithful friends, belgians and allies! I am proud of you. I am not able to say enough times thank to you. Although I am very glateful, we cannot be satisfied yet. We won two battles, but not the war. It’s just the beginning, and it will be more difficult to win the following battles. The french and EDEN mobile forces will do their best to release their regions via RWs."

I'll admit, I almost shed a tear. Almost. The two most powerful alliances, eWorld's most powerful nation such as Poland and Bulgaria fighting for freedom, fighting for the weak against the evil nation that is France. Yeah, that doesn't seem right, does it ?



Let's wind the clocks back a month, when Poland decided to attack China. To do so, they had to NE Russia first, conquer them and then they could launch a NE against China. But Russia didn't want to just be wiped because Poland said so, and they decided to resist. Russia being a close friend to CoT, especially Bulgaria, you could think that Poland would be embarassed because of that choice.

But of course not ! They're Poland, why would they care ? As we can read in Poland MoD newspaper from February (this is Google traduction, I do not speak Polish) "The coming months will bring many new and boredom will be forgotten. Remains to be seen whether the attack on Russia will be limited only to a single war, and may lead to a new distribution of forces in the world and the war between the CoT and TWO." Yeah, it seems to bother them a lot.
From Sir Marvin's program for March, there's more interesting things, as he write about Poland-Russia war "Depending on the reaction CoT, or they simply erase and move on, earning the opportunity to attack several other countries (including the coveted China, but here we have to make sure it is safe), or we will have to defend against CoT. Either way, it will happen. End of boredom and lack of rebounds!" So, either they fight EDEN or CoT, that doesn't make a difference to him.

Poland then attacked Russia, waiting for a reaction from CoT HQ. And, well, you can read this reaction here. My favorite line is this one "But CoT is not an alliance where important decisions are rushed". When it comes to fighting enemies who can threaten you, don't you mean ?
CoT just stepped aside and let Poland carry on, justifying the lack of support to Russia with some pretexts such as "Russia still have MPP with EDEN countries" or "Poland has been a good ally". Yeah, sure, and what about friendship ?
I do not deny that having Poland on your side when you have the luck of having the same enemies they have, and not having a bonus they want must be great. But Poland being a good ally ? Why not a friend ? Back in ONE, they even had issues with members of their own alliance. Now, they're bored and they start poking CoT around, hoping for a good time.

They're the truth about CoT : as EPIC or ABC were pets to ONE, CoT is no more than a good, submissive pet to TWO, still grateful when they see their masters even after they tried to start a fight.
I'm not a big fan of EDEN, but if the only alternative to being occupied is to lick Poland's feet, then I gladly choose to fight them.
CoT may be proud because they win against France, but they'll only be worthy of admiration when they dare oppose those who spit on them. Until then, there will be no trust in the circle of truth.
