Cham for CP- The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws - Government

Day 1,110, 00:23 Published in Canada Canada by Chamrajnagar

There are two major faults I see in the way our governments are currently run. These are the lack of transparency and communication with the public, and the inefficiency of our decision making.

In order to better communicate with the public, I've instituted a Ministry of Transparency. This ministry will have the task of keeping track of the government's activities and assets over time, and providing a timeline to the Canadian public through the Ministry of Communication. The public has a right to know where their money is being spent, and what it is their elected government is up to.

Our decision making in government is severely hampered by our constitution. It limits exactly how things can be done, delays processes, and ties hands. There has been much talk of Constitutional Reform over the past few months, and last month Kazuo LeBlanc drafted a new, stream-lined constitution. I have recieved his permission, and intend to present a similar version to Congress. Kaz himself has agreed to help with the institution, integration, and revision of this project. Hopefully this will allow our country's decision makers to do their jobs easier, and therefore faster.

Another area of ineffectiveness is, unfortunately, the Supreme Court. In my opinion, it is time this venerated institution was laid to rest. Some form of community punishment and regulation will be required to fill its void. I have thought of several ideas, but none seem quite right. This is an area that I would like to see community involvement in, and will canvas various members of society for ideas. If a workable solution can not be found, then the Supreme Court will stay in place.
