Day 1,867, 05:33 Published in Ireland Ireland by Damhnaic

Old comrades of eIreland, new friends, old friends, new enemies, old enemies, and others I dare not to categorize,

What as all this come to?

Were are we, where are we going? What is all the meaning behind such a game?

During last few months we have clashed, fought, bickered, "bitched", and more. I could not say I haven't joined the hate bandwagon. But now, in the end, what is the meaning of all this? Even very recently, I found out my hatred for some behaviors could be transposed into this game and turned into political will. Political will to destroy, obliterate, those that shared different values, (or no values at all of some). We have all done it, we are all doing it, and I fear we will be all doing it. It is no climate for good political thinking, nor cohesive actions. We were unable to find a compromise on anything for last months, and I think it might be because we don't want to. In the end, we all have the same views for eIreland, we all did same actions, and being a good president or not is only a matter of political climate in and out of the country.

The question is now, how can we deal with the currant climate, what can we do to.. "smoothen" it? Aye, I am partly responsible for it, we all are. For no climate exists in such a world without the human intervention. Violence engages violence. Not only in physical violence but in verbal violence too. The only way to understand ourselves is either with love or with language, we'll come to nothing with bickering, insulting and such.

Or, what is the problem in eIreland? I would like to believe we could all understand each others if we took time to. But I came to realize with recent acts that some people simple doesn't want to talk, doesn't want to discuss, doesn't want to improve the quality of the gameplay in eIreland. We had thieves and thefts, who it is, we don't really know even if we all have opinions on the subject. But it demonstrate one thing; we cannot have confidence into each others, can we? That would be a very Hobbesian theory. I would like to think that we are all fundamentally good and wanting the good for eIreland, but such acts against it makes me rethink this. Is it because some people are just bad, or that they are wrongly educated? Or simply that the systems makes it that, in the end, only profit matters and wherever you find it doesn't matters. I do not know. If we were all friends, and well-meaning , we wouldn't need safeguards on the treasury, we wouldn't need admins to check for multis after elections, we wouldn't need to fear each others. What prevents us from being friends?... Wouldn't it be.. easier? funnier? But we are in a constant war state.

In the end we will all finish at the same place, in a coffin or an urn, some were thieves, other were successful politicians, some were both, a few were nothing, and a lot were something, but what?

What do we want us to be remembered for? Sawc's now remembered as a thief, people like Patton are remembered as heroes of a long past glorious era. In the end, it is the only thing that will matter, how our actions will define us.

AquaSixio, "Nous étions des hommes".

I had to write a second article, for the 1 article a day for 5 day thingy, I felt -inspirited-. Read it, read it not, I think it is a very actual problem of our community, which I do acknowledge I've been also participating to.

So what are we doing now?

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.

-William SHAKESPEARE, Hamlet, act 3 scene 1.

Very truly yours,

MR. HANK SCORPIO Day 1,867, 05:43

Though this article has been written very well, I find it quite hypocritical of the author seen as how he's lashed out out me and my party numerous times throughout the week.

Still nice article, subd and voted.

Now I'm off for the day gonna get a nice chipper

Damhnaic Day 1,867, 05:46

Like I said three time in the article, I've been responsible for all this as we almost all were, now the question is what are we going to do with it.

I still prefer chaos and gore in Ireland....

And that "others I dare not to categorize"...was that pointed at me?

lol. No one dares categorize the Kurgan.

Great article Dam, and hopefully if anything it will make people, (including our own party's) hesitate and think about what they say, do, and why they are saying it before they do.

voted harrrd

A man once tried to place the Kurgan in a category.

That man was perm banned in a heartbeat by the only forced known above Plato...Socrates.

I hear there's an ancient eIrish sect that's all about people of opposite ideological views, cooperating under a common character of underlying values.

"Sawc's now remembered as a thief,"

Yep, most of us won't be remembered at all, which is why some people behave as they do.

Ian, it's not really that ancient, EA is much much younger than many of the oldfag parties like Saoirse..

Even though I was there within the first few months of the original EA, it was still not old by now.

^ Eh I didn't really mean ancient, although by the standards of post-wipe parties, EA is one of the oldest.
