well this article is about culture and empires

so basically in real life you would have edge nations who are powerful and are not culturally strong
center nations only need control of their hinterland and are the more culturally strong.

The center nations have always been centers of culture and although few in number have never actually perished. A fine example is Greece which has been conquered by Macedonia a edge nation which want's to prove it is able to become a center nation. after Macedonia had adopted Greek traditions and soon the Romans would invade and when they split into 2 east Rome was mainly Greek.

Another example is Alexander the great of Macedonia who invaded Egypt yet he still retained Egypt's power because it's population was devote to it.

Center nations never die because they are so culturally strong that the edge nations are consumed by it and have no option to embrace it.

Japan is good example of an edge nation. their culture is extremely influenced by china which led them to stay isolated on their islands. When Europeans came they saw that they were able to become a stronger empire and decided to try and take over china(ww2)

now you are probably wondering what this has to do with Erepublik well here it is:

a fine example of a center nation is Romania was huge once and plays a huge role in society today
an group of edge nations took her down these were indonesia and Hungary (if i am correct)
a current center nation is the U.S.A is a center nation because it is so known around the world, influences actions of others and it's once huge population has the effect on the world.

A center nation coming to power is France which with the recent baby boom has established a significant hold on peaces actions.

Russia is another fine example taken over by Romania and they still keep their population still influence us. with their baby boom they can take control of their hinterland and other places.

And at last there is Pakistan A fine example of a edge nation which conquered all others except for the other edge nations. Pakistan fell from the inside like most great nations, having a huge empire it was bound for destruction. yet Pakistan still has no control over their hinterland so will remain an edge nation forever unless they get back their hinterland
