Carpal Tunnel Weekly - Who are the Elite?

I thought it would be interesting to look at the top five parties candidates for congress and do some numbers. This idea came to me because certain people within the US claim to be against the elites within the government. I don't have the time to go through every single candidate and give you a run down of them but I thought looking at the candidates levels from each party and comparing them would be useful.
I first took the top 20 candidates from each top 5 party and averaged out their current levels. I know that 20 congress members is a lot and none of the top 5 parties will likely get this amount of congress members but I thought who the parties select as their first 20 candidates gave a good representation of how open these parties are. Below is the party and the average level for their first 20 candidates.
#1 AFA - average level 42.00
#2 AMP - average level 36.20
#3 USWP - average level 41.10
#4 Feds - average level 32.40
#5 WTP - average level 41.35
As you can see there are three parties that have fairly high averages above level 40, meaning these three parties have chosen to let mostly higher level players run for congress. Then there are two parties with much lower numbers who have chosen to run a fair number of people who are younger levels which brought their average levels down.
Now since no party will likely get 20 members of congress, lets look at the parties top 10 candidates keeping in mind that last month every party got at least seven congress members when the country had just 50 regions total. Now we have 59 total regions so we have nine more congress seats available so its safe to say that the vast majority of the top 10 candidates from all top five parties will end up in congress.
Again, below is the party and their average level for their top 10 candidates.
#1 AFA - average level 44.50
#2 AMP - average level 37.60
#3 USWP - average level 43.40
#4 Feds - average level 33.30
#5 WTP - average level 44.10
The numbers are pretty similar to the first set, though they all go up a little bit. But again we run into three parties with higher numbers than the other two.
Now granted some parties have a bunch of old farts who have been around a very long time and they will typically run trusted people before running people who just joined the party a week ago. But the numbers do say that there are three parties in the US that could follow this idea that some people have of the elite running the show, while two other parties (and one in particular, Go Feds!!) are more open to having younger less experienced players have a shot at being in congress.
Alright, I am done talking but go ahead and keep talking about who the 'elite' group of players and parties are.

Oh, and be sure to Vote FED Tomorrow!!
Sometimes readers have good ideas, and it seems I could have done some more calculations to help beyond just these numbers. So I have gone through and did the previous congressional medals for all if the top 20 candidates for all top five parties. I also just added up all the previous country president medals and left it as a whole number instead of an average (since the averages would be really small)
Anyway, enough talking, lets go to the numbers. First set is average for the top 10 candidates, second set is average for the top 20 candidates (slightly smaller since it appears that all the parties have slightly more experienced people in their 1st-10th place candidates than they do in their 11th-20th
place candidates)
Top 10 Candidates average previous congress medals
#1 AFA - 1.70
#2 AMP - 3.00
#3 USWP - 8.60
#4 Feds - 2.20
#5 WTP - 5.80
Top 20 Candidates average previous congress medals
#1 AFA - 1.85
#2 AMP - 3.20
#3 USWP - 8.30
#4 Feds - 1.75
#5 WTP - 4.15
To also include how many country president medals each party has for their top 20 candidates
AFA - 1
AMP - 2
USWP - 4
Feds - 0
WTP - 7
It's hard to do numbers in this game since things change from month to month, also numbers like this might be skewed a little bit since some people will change parties after getting medals in a previous party (like WTP's CP medals, a bunch of those are from oblige who received those medals while he was a Fed) and some numbers might not even be included here since some people have had old accounts lost or banned and started new ones, thus losing medal counts.
Take it for what it's worth, and take my bias for what its worth as well. I am a Fed, have done some work for the party including being the PD director for a while (back when there was a lot of work to do for the political department, thanks admins for killing that aspect of the game) and I am proud of the way I handled my job back in the day and proud/horny of how the Feds are being run today.
Then again everyone has their own bias and opinion, take for instance the top 10 AFA candidates, who have a very high average level but a very low average congressional medal count. That could be taken as trying to get some inexperienced political players into congress to shake things up a bit, or it could be taken as a bunch of experienced players who just suck as politics...

e5anderm IS BACK!!!! YES YES YES..
VOTED WITH A F*KCING HAMMER.
This article makes me so proud and horny.
It's always a pleasure to read your articles.
i forgot, proud and horny 😃
I'm actually quite happy with the Federalist's list of candidates this month, old and new but all active and looking to work hard in Congress,
And ofc, this article was quite a good read, Votado e5
welcome back e5anderm
probably you and your friends
Bravo Zulu. Excellent as usual.
lol @ AFA
What is the standard deviation of their levels? V+S
Avg. number of previous Congress medals might be a little bit more insightful.
Level doesn't reflect much beyond wtf clicks.
Still an interesting article. Statistics are almost as fun to play with as silly putty.
Bounces, molds, stretches, snaps & more!
Voted and Welcome back!
P/H
I agree with rainy...I'd be interested to read even more stats. Still, these numbers match my personal perception of things, so confirmation bias tells me I love this lol
dammit e5.. i was heading to bed, but saw a new article, and you KNOW i had to read it first 😃
rainy has a point (she does that quite often), but at a glance, you can pretty well tell ajay/pth/gcl/rgr to go shove his elitist crap where the sun don't shine since, you know, AFA has the highest avg levels running for congress... "down with elitists", wait, what??
also, P/H Feds.. young peeps carrying P/H and integrity into the future o/
Everything AFA told me has been a lie! WHYYYYYYY
Good article. If no one else does Rainys idea, I will. But still, this is one way we could measure the spread. On the flip side, no one is saying we ought to put level 15 into office to win this contest.
It's new blood, not necessarily "new" (young) blood, lol.
Voted! Great work.
working on the numbers for the previous congress medals as well as throwing in previous CP medals, give me a couple minutes and I will update the article
AFA - 1 CP
http://pastebin.com/WVdPL4Cf
Feds - 0 CP
http://pastebin.com/eCm6rKJk
USWP - 4 CP
http://pastebin.com/ctCD3UYv
AMP - 2 CP
http://pastebin.com/967UxLvj
WTP - 7 CP
http://pastebin.com/Cbh5TNNk
I guess I must be an elitist then.
I don't really care what someones level is. Mine is high because you get an XP for every company you work and I've got a ton of RM co's that I WAM for our commune. What I am concerned about is experience. If someone doesn't know how to do a job either train them or find someone that can do it. Don't shove a n00b into Congress just to get someone 'new' in there.
Sorry but I disagree with this, it is flawed.
You migt also include how eOld members are in each category, that is more revealant for me that XP wise...
Like Thedillpickl said, there's some 3 years old (old fart ;p ) players that have a lvl of 20ish, they are not''new'' blood...
But please a nice read, thank.
lol my user is three years old but I only actually started playing last May
interesting read o/
Thedillpickl got a point here. Actually for every company you work you get two XP points (check this out next time when u work).
The article is great and it really sheds some light on the main critics from AFA (the opposition).
If possible e5anderm, I would like to see the average age of the people running for Congress. That, will tell a lot about this matter. Keep up the good work.
That's what this is, ukju. It's the averages of the candidates.
"Don't shove a noob into congress just to get 'new' blood". True, but more who are willing and able could gain from the experience, expanding the population of knowledgeable eUS players.
