CANADIAN LAND SKILL WORKERS! - THE GOVT WANTS TO KILL YOUR INDUSTRY!
Citizen B
LAND WORKERS! - THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO KILL YOUR INDUSTRY, CUT YOUR SALARY, AND TAKE YOUR JOBS!
Some members of Congress, with the backing of our new President, Chucky Norris, and his Director of the Finance Department, Jacobi; have proposed a preposterous plan in Congress to kill the Canadian grain industry!
This will affect ALL LAND WORKERS! This ludicrous plan will eliminate import tariffs on foreign companies, allowing them to flood the Canadian Grain market and put our Canadian grain companies out of business. This absurd plan will raise income taxes on Canadian grain workers, to the point which that Canadian Grain workers will make no money for a day's work. The result will be that every grain worker flees their job and starts competing for diamond and oil jobs. There will be an influx of more than 50% of workers COMPETING FOR THESE JOBS - YOUR JOB. This will drastically drive down the wages of every Canadian land skill worker - as if they are not low enough already - which is probably exactly what they want. It smacks of nothing less, to me, than the greed of rich diamond and oil company owners. While you can barely make a few extra dollars, the greedy diamond and oil company owners will be able to hoard gold to spend on Lana while they are buying Q5 weapons every day. What do you get out of the deal? Some table scraps, if you are lucky enough to be employed?
See the PLAN THAT WILL KILL LAND SKILL WORKERS SALARIES in the eCanada forums: http://ecanada.ws/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=6057
Jacobi: "I would argue in favor of killing the grain industry entirely by removing the import tariff. We are literally subsidizing failure here...Canada's economic layout does not include homegrown grain, our diamond and wood industries are far too successful for grain to compete for wages.
Step 1. Kill the grain industry's protection entirely by eliminating import taxes and raising wage taxes...
Step 2. Either a) cheap foreign imports flood the market and reduce food prices or b) things stay the same
Step 3. Grain companies are converted into gold like everyone else's companies at the start of V2
Political manipulation of our economy loses"
To me, quite frankly, this plan sounds like political manipulation of economy for some greedy company owner's gains.
Chucky: "Just as an Iron Producer shouldn't encourage production in less profitable area, Grain is a loss in the sense that it's worth less on the world market. You have my support in this motion, Jacobi".
Canadian Grain company owners - including me - have invested our hard earned gold and worked hard to support this industry and pay our workers. This plan will put us all out of business. This plan WILL put all grain company workers on the unemployment line. It will likely put the death-knell into the Canadian economy, which is reeling from recession right now to begin with. First they took away the Canadian IRON industry. Now they plan to take away the profitable Canadian Grain industry?
It will not actually go away, as foreign companies will flood our market, driving further down the price of grain, putting every Canadian Grain company out of business. It will take the jobs of every grain worker and cut the pay of every land industry worker. Do you really want Canadian food company owners buying all of their grain from foreign companies? Sending their money out of our market? This money could be staying in Canada, bolstering our economy. This is serious. If this goes through, they will allow 100% foreign competition with a ZERO import tariff. As well as raise your income tax and VAT taxes. They can destroy the Canadian Grain industry - and destroy our economy.
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE YOUR SALARY GO DOWN FURTHER?
Please help fight this disastrous 'plan'. If you are a GRAIN COMPANY OWNER OR WORKER here is what you can do: Contact your Canadian Congressmembers, or every Canadian Congressmembers, along with Jacobi, and our PM, Chucky Norris and tell them:
'You say NO to any plan to kill the Canadian grain industry and no to any tax increases or foreign tariff reductions in the Canadian grain industry!'
Thank you for your support to keep Canada and her economy strong!

He's killing an entire industry within days of entering office?
THREE CHEERS FOR ECONICIDE!
\o/
If they let foreign companies come to eCanadian land market it will be disaster for land workers, their paycheck will decrease significantly and they will be able to afford much less goods for their money...
Chucky said he is going to generate baby boom, but what's the difference if more people leave this game or eCanada because they can't live from their work?
Agreed!
In my opinion this is an absurd plan.
We should be doing everything possible to bolster our ailing economy, instead of cutting entire segments out because it may be beneficial to a few business owners at the expense of 33% of Canadian workers.
Citizen B
Jacobi owns a Q4 food company. This is conflict of interest, plain and simple.
Citizen B owns a grain company. This is conflict of interest, plain and simple.
Can we get an independant version from another member of the Government.
Has Chucky gone crazeeee with power already?
I gave him at least a week.
Grain business does not take up 33% of Canadian workers, just because its one of the three grain land sector. Also Grain does not have 50% workers in land
Dont throw random numbers around please.
But can't wait to see a debate going on about this, I love the use of words and imagery in this one.
Panda stands on the side of closing off the grain sector >🙂
P.S - I do not own a grain company, nor plan to open one.
"Jacobi owns a Q4 food company. Citizen B owns a grain company."
That's true. But I didn't propose KILLING AN ENTIRE CANADIAN INDUSTRY so I can rake in the dough. And I work in the land field and have watched my salary drop like a rock. This will ensure LAND WORKERS MAKE MINIMUM WAGE.
"Grain business does not take up 33% of Canadian workers, just because its one of the three grain land sector. Also Grain does not have 50% workers in land"
You should read the article again, and do the math. I will make it simple, TP, for those challenged with numbers:
LAND EMPLOYS MORE THAN 33% of ALL CANADIAN WORKERS, by a long shot.
We have three land sectors - grain, oil & diamonds. Assuming that 33% of land skill workers work in each one (in fact, grain employs more than the other two); then when there are only two sectors left, their will be former grain company workers looking for jobs that will exceed the number of land skill workers employed by oil & diamond companies by 50%. For every 10 workers a diamond or oil company employs, there will be more than five unemployed grain workers competing for those jobs. (50😵
Citizen B
Oh, but lets just mention - because I thought something smelled real funny - Jacobi owns a Q4 food company according to Taiwan Panda.
So, while I run my business and keep to myself; Jacobi has proposed using Congress to decimate an entire Canadian industry (which of course will lower raw materials prices for his food company).
Conflict of interest? That's putting it mildly. I call it the worst example of special interests and corruption I have ever seen since my time in office.
Citizen B, Congressmember looking out for my fellow Canadians
CitzB- "We have three land sectors - grain, oil & diamonds."
You forgot Wood 🙂 NOW THATS A HUGE LAND SECTOR. Eh?
Grain still employs 33% of population? No, thus is why I said it's not 33%, thus my math wins!
yeah people will go to wood oil and diamonds....there will be too many companies in those and then price wars will cause those companies to go broke.....instead of killing industries....help companies will exports that was promised during jacobi's administration. don't use the potential events of v2 as an excuse..for all we know v2 is months away
I'm with you Citizen B, special interest should be pointed out.
Jacobi is using his position to promote his economic interests.
I'm also a food producer and DON'T support the plan to kill the eCanadian grain industry.
Don't talk about V2 until it's here.
We also have the iron sector, but never mind about that. 😛
Although the numbers you throw around do not work I apreciate the drama. As long as it is possible to run a profitable grain bussiness in Canada there is no need to kill it. Building up the pressure by reducing import tariffs? Maybe. Bringing the income tax to the national level? We should have done that long ago. But killing it? That is most certainly the wrong way.
CB : We have three land sectors - grain, oil & diamonds.
Et aussi le bois!
Je suis personnellement contre cette mesure, comme je l'étais dans le cas du fer MEDIUM.
Laissons le libre marché s'occuper de l'industrie du grain.
If the plan to destroy the Canadian grain industry goes through I will never again support Chucky Norris, Jacobi, the CPP, or any other party that supported him for election.
This is an absolutely foolish plan which is not based on sound reasoning.
This will flood the market with foreign grain, and our company owners will buy it, sending our CAD overseas.
Foreign GM's do not want CAD, they want gold.
So they will place their CAD in the monetary market for sale, which will flood the monetary market even worse than it already is, and will trigger the crash of our CAD value.
Not to mention the other horrible effects it will have, as stated by CitB and others.
This plan is a fail of the most epic proportions.
Jacobi was behind all this.
Jacobi was pulling the strings behind the marionette we know as "Chucky Norris".
Goddamn it. Why are YOU, Citizen B, running for PM? Or Derek Harland even?
Oh, and not only will this deal a significant amount of damage to the Grain industry, but it will also hurt the currency rate.
I remember reading that our PM wants to maintain a high CAD. If this passes, it will go against his every word.
Yes, he's a dirty, lying, and sniveling politician, but this is unbelievable.
this far fetched and will have difficulty happening. this is a very biased piece of news that is full of mistakes and other falsehoods that have been pointed out and argued.
Voted for teh drama. I'd love to see an official response to this article.
Well the only mistake is that we do have four valid land sectors when one includes wood. Oops.
So revising the figures, will mean 33% workers looking for jobs in the land industry when their companies are killed.
That is still huge and still will result in land skill wages hitting go lower than they are now - much lower. A huge supply of workers, with little demand, will mean the price for their services dropping (their wages). Its economics 101, basically.
Supply and demand.
Citizen B
of the total number of adviable workers, what percentage work in which industries, and how many of those citizens are active? if this does happen how many of those workers will not be able to find jobs?
BS - at one time I was operating 4 food companies - in close to half a year I never used a kernel of Canadian wheat as the price was never competitive with international prices - anyone using Canadian grain and paying competitive wages would be operating at a loss and is either doing so out of ignorance or some other non-profit making motive.
@hb741 that's because most companies were over paying on wages...a properly run company can survive using canadian grain...also if the import taxes were fair and income taxes were not as high canadian companies would be more competitive...shuting down an industry is not the answer...btw you said once ran 4...if it was so profitable using foreign grain why do you not have them all still.
Petz, you with your facts and intelligent questions ... no wonder nobody likes you.😁
@hb741 - thanks for letting us know that you prefer to buy foreign goods on the black market.
And while this is your right, that does not mean that no one purchases Canadian grain when priced right. Both Petz and I, and many others, have run very successful grain companies selling Canadian grain to Canadian food company owners. Not to mention the industries ability to export and bring money into the Canadian economy. Caritas Q3 Grain - a government company - does just that.
In the process, we employ Canadian workers and pump money into the economy that is in turn spend on food, weapons, moving tickets, gifts, etc.
Citizen B
They took yer job!
The international market does not equal black market - get a clue and quit the mindless flag waving - the entire RL world economy is based on international trade, why shouldn't erep? - if we are internationally competitive in producing wood and diamonds we can generate more wealth by employing our resources there and allow other countries to produce our grain - go dig out your old Economics textbook
And the RL Economy is such a pinacle of success isn't it?
well then you know the answer to this... push to devalue the CAD by 1/2. It will make our grains more competitive, and other exports more attractive.
And as for calling buying RM's from foreign countries buying from the black market LOL. 1/2 the weapons companies have an org in an iron producing region sending iron to their weapons companies. And by the sounds of it food companies are doing the same thing with grain.
That isn't black market, that is doing smart buiness.
People should perhaps look at my company, look at how many people work at my company, and decide whether I have any personal stake in the food industry.
Jacobi... push to devalue the CAD.
A high valued CAD isn't helping matters.
I-M-P-E-A-C-H-M-E-N-T YEPS, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANOTHER DAY WHERE I MAKE MORE MONEY AT 0 MANU SKILL THAN MY SKILL IN LAND, THIS IS JUST BAD, INFACT AT THE MOMENT I AM FEELING ASHAMED TO BE PART OF THE CAF, BECAUSE CHUCKY COMES FROM SO HIGH UP IN IT
Thanks for posting this, Citizen B, I've not been keeping up with affairs of state since I left the Commons, and I'm astounded that such an outrageous idea is being contemplated.
Cheers,
AR1ARX
grrrr though I work in a weapons factory this is absorbed it will be like RL with many ppl with no jobs.
eCanada,
allowing its allies to run it since ATLANTIS.
As long as these future no-jobs will not take my wood job.
this sucks... i want an impeachment 😛
I own a Grain Company and the reason I set one up is because Canada has an abundance of high yield grain areas. I stand to lose all of my money, gold and time wasted because of a bone headed idea that benefits who???
If more competition is needed for Grain prices than fair enough but it should be home grown competition not open doors to support other countries.
This completely smacks of self interest or worse...pure incompetence. Take your pick.
This was not what THE PEOPLE voted for...because if this idea would have been banded about BEFORE THE ELECTION than the proposed economy wreckers WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN VOTED IN.
Rest assured that anybody that votes for such a measure with be noted and remembered. I'll personally make sure of that. People and parties will be tainted forever with such a pathetic and clueless idea.
Vote Chucky Norris / Vote CPP = Death to the Grain Industry

Show your support for Canadian Grain and find out the facts.
B good
Jacobi bad
long live the grain industry!
Point is that it's upto Congress.
I was angry at this as I my self am a Land Worker, then I remebered I had my own Land Company, then I grined.
I joined today and i allready know this is absurb! we need to keep all our industrys working not close them that would cause price fluxuation If they go through with this i can assure you they will lose everyones vote such as grain companys and employes and me cause my wage goes down!
I totally object to this plan, I will use my influence as MoF to oppose this all the way.
~fkuu~
I warned about this shit when the iron industry was targeted.
What will the fat cats try next? maybe houseing?
I don't care, no one is taking my job at the slave pits of CC!
The Grain Sector has been held up by a Income tax crutch for some time, I don't think that the Grain Companies CAN be competitive.
What will be next?
