Why are canadians attacking in the resistance war in Alaska? Since it belongs to the US, won't it return Alaska to them if we "lose" the battle? Isn't that what we want anyway?

That's really besides the point, if people want experience, Quebec is being attacked right now.
Any attacks you put into the resistance war in Alaska is a waste, canadian or american; the region originally belongs to the United States; if the resistance war succeeds, it returns to the US, if it fails, it'll remain in the hands of Canadians. No matter the outcome, it's NOT going to PEACE countries.
I'm pretty sure that's how the game mechanic works. There's no indication of the resistance force leaders sovereignty; simply the current occupation country and the name.
If anyone knows precisely how it works please speak up!

From what I understand canada having alaska blocks russia from attacking so they decided to RW it to get it back to the US so that they can take it themselfs afterwoulds and continue thier invasion
