Seriously please Mr. President I think most of the business owners can agree with me that we need some more IEP. The exchange rate is killer and entirely controlled by foreign investors. I did the math. There is about 581 IEP on our market which isnt that much in the first place. Then about 386 IEP out of that is owned by foreign investors. So 66 % of our IEP market is controlled by foreigners. I think that points to a lack of IEP among native Irish citizens. It is just amazingly hard to get IEP anymore. I petition Mr. President ImaNewbie to put out at least 1000 IEP on the exchange market at 1 Gold = .1 IEP . The IEP being anymore powerful then that is ridiculous. Actually .1 IEP is pretty bad but i am willing to compromise. Please...

I agree with Patton here. The exchange rates for IEP are killer, a healthy market = a healthy exchange for gold, while right now everyone is selling IEP for ridiculus prices. The gold value of IEP almost doubled on the money market within the lest 2 weeks?

Not to mention that the Citizen fee of 10.00 IEP is worth 1 gold, being at least 5 times more then in other countries.

I have been releasing IEP for some time. See no damage in releasing more, however at slower pace than proposed. While gold exchange rates went down the value of IEP went up.

I agree ImaNewbie - softly softly. While there probably should be a little more IEP out there than there currently is the economy is not broken so don\'t rush to fix it - releasing more IEP is good but releasing 1000 IEP in one go when there is 581 IEP currently out there (how did you get those figures Patton ?) would cause bad exchange fluctuations and business instability and the only winner there is the FX dealer.

It is also worth noting that in the last couple weeks the eIrish foregin exchange has stabilised to within a couple percent of the recommended rate. This shows a good stable economy and should be commended.
