Calls For Transparency Ignored?

In my latest article I wrote for the need for more openness in government related activities, this was met with several citizens immediately tearing down the idea and telling them that forums are a place for this and if there were any citizens interested in what's going on to sign up to the forums. However, upon looking at the forums myself it appears that their has not been a recent public discussion or foreign affairs, or even domestic report for that matter in forum nor in game at all recently. So this immediately leaves me to say to myself, why the hell would citizens want to sign up for the forum? To be involved in what exactly? A thread to that teaches you how to count? Yeah, that's right there is a thread that is specifically for furthering your post count on the forum where all you do is post in accordance to the number above yours, sadly citizens of eJapan this is by far and large the most active thread on the forums which is quite concerning to say the least.

This is eJapan's most active thread on the forum, sad to say really, so citizen of eJapan if you want to sign up to the forums and learn to count have a go at it!

Here are two lovely citizens of eJapan who are quite active themselves on the very open discussion of the forums that I have quoted showing there opinion on citizens who aren't involved on our forums.

IE: If your not on the forums learning how to count, then apparently you are not an eJapanese citizen at all!

Now don't get me wrong, if forums are utilized they are a very valuable tool for informing citizens, our old forums was quite open and clear on our ongoing issues, goals, and every citizen had the option of partaking in them. We even had a minister of media for those citizens who did want to know what was going on but didn't have the time to always check the forums or honestly just felt forums were unnecessary because it is an offsite board. I unlike many understand those feelings, while I don't agree with them they are understanding and I don't discount anyone from being an eJapanese citizens and would certainly never dispel or write off such opinions as they are my equals, unlike some who think these citizens should not even be playing the game. I also would like to thank these citizens who wrote to me in my PM's in agreement.

All I am asking for is a little bit of accountability and transparency within the government, I was told to look on the forums if I was so concerned, I did. Their is nothing recent on our ongoing foreign affairs situation, and there hasn't even been a report this entire month publicly regarding domestic OR foreign affairs. Hell, our government expenditures sheet is even behind by 10 days, which in itself is not a big deal but when you roll everything all together it is very disturbing at the lack of openness in our government to the regular citizens. I was told to ask for "special clearance" to learn what is going on. Well, I have this to say, I am not looking for special treatment for privy information, I am looking for open and public discussions on how all eJapanese citizens feel about where we should go in our future, it is not the CP's Job, or her few selected chosen ones to lead us entirely, we have our own right for determination and I am calling on all citizens who feel that we have a lack of transparency to speak up about it, or send me a PM.

That's all for today folks.

Signed,
Just a concerned guy
