Business Weekly - Week 1

Factsheet for the UK Forums for our Economic Basics

As requested in our thread for open questions, we've started publishing a small factsheet for UK GM's and prospective GM's to look at BEFORE they haul off and open a company. The address for the forums are:

http://www.erepublik.co.uk, register for "Forums", and look in General Economics.

We will add more as we work more on it, but thus far it should cover decently our current market conditions, Raw Materials companies, and so on.

Weekly Tip #1: Lower Quality Housing is Exporting Gold

In case you haven't noticed, there are 4 brand new countries in Erepublik. In case you don't remember, housing takes 200 units to produce, not to mention they need wood.

Basically, anyone with Q3 or lower, should seriously check into exporting their housing. Yes, the UKers need houses too, but with Royal Housing and the other known housing producers in the UK, we should be able to have lots of surplus (once you get beyond the pesky cost thing which I'm working on in the form of wood). I would suggest Serbia or the Phillipines for now, personally.

Weekly Tip #2: Keep Your Eyes Open

Another thing you may have notice😛 We have Germany back on the map. They'll need finished goods, particularly in higher quality things. If you're looking to offload and make a decent exchange (especially with some upcoming plans), export to Germany. I'm sure they'll welcome you with open arms, and probably offer you some type of German Chorizo.

Weekly Tip #3: South Africa

South Africa has diamonds. Lots of them.

Problem is, thats pretty much all they have. Their workforce is so solidary in one realm they're struggling to provide goods throughout the quality and quantity spectrum that is their marketplace. If you're looking for a prime opportunity, I'd suggest South Africa. You may also look into arranging a trade.

For any gift vendors, I'd also suggest contacting their companies. Perhaps they'll arrange to sell in bulk to you, costing you less?

That's it for this week. We hope this helps, as we're here to help.

For anyone who sent Loan Applications, with our PM being afk (should be fixed tomorrow), it's been difficult to get things on track, but I hope to have things solved by tomorrow or Saturday. We're all working together in this time of crisis (or something like that, not really as big a deal as some people make it out to be), so please be patient. Trust that I am putting full thought into your loans and should have an answer for each of you.

But remember I cannot say yes to everyone.

Sincerely

Dishmcds and the MoT Staff
