God gave us our free will,
Show us how it feels to feel,
Made us strong, and, trough his strength,
We can break the chain around your neck!

Taught us the ways to meet our neighbors,
And, with them, gave us far-sight into our souls,
Then we began to see cats inside fierce sabers
Where love and war played more then simple roles...

The Beginning

It started as a way to chase away the laziness i was going through, and to get my rusty bones back in tip-top shape... Because the war in Southern Great Plain was over and I didn't got the chance to use up all my health kits (and 60 wellness and 3 more chances), i decided to look on the world map and search for the closest active battle, and found 2, both in Ireland, a country that i didn't have the opportunity to discover in my eRepublik life, so i bought a ticket and went on a wild trip, not knowing that the decision will affect me, in such a good a way, after...

The Battle and the new Friends

I arrived at the battlefield, finding the capital of the Southeast of Ireland taken by the British artillery, as the locals struggled to drain some of the British damage there so that they could secure Dublin (the key-battle)... After spotting an unguarded tile near the Palisade's Walls and knowing that there ware only a few seconds until our turn would end, i took my rifle, deployed there, charged at the Capital, set my attack on the artillery, an easy target although he was a bit experienced, took him down, then went on mIRC and searched for a public Irish channel. After finding 2 channels, the National Channel and the Military Headquarters`s Channel, I told them what I did, and they started congratulating me in-between battle orders... After some long fights, I was getting low on health kits, and I began to worry that my interference there could cause more harm rather then giving an actual helping hand... Finally I was knocked down by a Brazilian Field Marshal Tank, so I told the lads how sorry I was for not being able to help them out until the end, my budget consisting of 0.01g at that time...

An Unexpected Turn

A few of us were given copters, and the duty to secure some tiles, a risky job as most of us only flew a helicopter in training missions, then a miracle happened... When it seemed that our hope was in vain, and our fighting useless, we saw a light at the end of the tunnel shinning, it was what the enemy didn't have, the strength to be one, one heart, one dream, when one was at a nation's peak, that one found the courage to continue, to dream, to love one another, and the flame burst into a great fire in our hearts, lighting our path to victory, and all of us began to trust!... That was the moment of truth and faith, the moment that made us secure almost all the tiles on that map, both on Southeast of Ireland and Dublin, hope came in the form of a Leprechaun!

The lesson's teachings

Remember one thing, my lads, it doesn't matter who wins or loses, but who learns something from the battle! We showed the Brits that we aren't their boxing sack, that we have the power and courage to STAND! We showed them what FAITH means, the Irish dream will never be over! We gave them a lesson in HONOR, a swing of the IRON CLOVER! A battle may be lost today, but we found a reason for HOPE, a hope in our NATION, our CHILDREN, our neighbors, our LIBERTY!!

TODAY,

IN THE SKY,

RISES THE FLAG

OF IRELAND!
