Bribery in eCanada. Now who do we trust?

With today's recent article ([a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-513061.html]Bribery in eCanada[/a]) and our great President's decision to refuse and report this matter for everyone to know. Will our next President be so inclined to do the same or will he/she be the one to bring down this country and it's economy. Becuase who knows. If it where to happen, would the person from the other country give the gold or money back or keep it for themselves.
So now that we all know this type of thing can happen, we must be more cautious about who we elect in office to run our country. I applaud President Adam Sutler for his quick thinking and his decision to not only refuse this tempting offer, but to also report it. But it brings up the question: Will our next leader do the same?
Now, not only must we think about what rules and ideas that are brought up at the next election by all the party and presidential contenders. We must add an extra element of TRUST into the equation.
So do you think our next leader will do the same and refuse and report this type of offer... Or will he/she accept it and not report it?

Perhaps congress should have to vote to spend the treasury in any way, that would prevent any single president from being corrupt by themselves, and it would only take one legit member of congress to foil a plan like that.
Good point jbdivinus. It could be used to get hospitals to the places that need them, or other things. The president themselves should not be able to control all the treasury. That way no one person can do what they want with all the countries wealth.
If you look at the eCanadian constitution, you\'ll notice that there is a provision against the stealing of a treasury, located in the Articles of Allegiance.
As for voting, I\'ll have you know that as Finance Minister, I\'m currently drawing up a budget for the approval of the eCanadian congress.
Cheers!

Any chance you could give more insight as to the contents of this budget?
Also, even if its in the constitution, its still just breaking the law, yet completely possible, right?
Bribery is possible to pass by the Constitution simply by transfering it to a different country for negative reasons. I\'m guessing if somebody in Canada is trying to build a company is that against it or is it not?
Everyone should really stop worrying, because bribery is not something that happens very often. This is the first I\'ve even heard of it. And beside, the guy there that did the bribe was new to eRepublik and probably had no idea what he was actually doing.
Well we should not trust anybody in the chaos party the like to play without rules.
(joke)
good that this was brought to the public
Good work Sutler!
Every Party President have to swear, protecting Canada and never do such a thing. Adam Sutler is a good guy, if you want someone which is trustworthy, vote Adam Sutler!
Speaking as Minister of Foreign Affairs
Ah, of course Sutler\'s not gonna take the money... now... eCanada\'s rich, and so is he. He\'s got three companies, two of which have a form of monopoly, one on Q4 weapons, and the other on Q1 hospitals. But remember when good ol\' respectable Sutler was a PoW in the American war? HA HA HA HA! I do! He wasn\'t so good natured and respectable then was he? Want proof?

Take a look at his old paper. Turns out he\' was one of the biggest spammers in the eUSA!
Now, everyone likes to play by the rules when everything is going to plan, but you see; madness, corruption, greed, they are forces of nature; they\'re like gravity...
All you need is one
little
push!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
