Hi kids,

Born in Kansas City Missouri, KC for locals. As for my exact age, let's just say I remember when Kennedy was assassinated. Spent my first few years in Kansas City Kansas. Then moved to the Lake of the Ozarks at the age of 10 years.

Things have really changed around here in the last 50 years. We've always had white tail deer, turkey, quail, coyotes, bobcats and various vermin. Lately wildlife is returning, elk, mountain lions, bald eagles and now black bear have been spotted! We got armadillos now too, thanks Texas.

Anyhoo, I wanted to share something that fascinates me. I grew up reading offshore powerboat racing magazines. Now our little lake is on the circuit. 7th annual Lake Race.

Yeah, I watched some of that. They shot footage here. Interesting to see streets you know on tv. I was not overwhelmed by the plot.

Explain again why we can't shoot 'em?

Last year (with covid-19) had the best year so far, approximately 10 million. This year they expect 12m.
We never shut down. Most people never wore masks. Our stats are as good as anywhere. Don't know, don't want to argue about it.

LOTO is 93 miles long and has a shoreline of 1150 miles.

They don't close the lake exactly. I think it's like a 5 miles no wake zone and race track down the middle.

No one minds because the pack in to watch all day from their boats. lol

I went boating once. Skipping on the waves at 40 knots was fun. The people on the boat with me weren't very fond of the speed, so I was only going at it for a short while.

Looks like you had a good time in your life. I guess now it tottaly change for new kids generation. They didn't know to play outside. But it is what it is. Time its changing.
