I would say to the reader as I said to those who have joined this battle already: I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering.

You guys wrote the book on war. We should have known both our enemies and ourselves and known that the possibility of server crash in the last few minutes was a very real one. I hope this kind of consideration can be more fully incorporated into battle tactics in the future. Our shame is not that we did not fight hard, not that we did not bring enough to win the fight, but only that we did not anticipate the full range of weapons our enemy uses (yes, including the chicken).

Nobody said this would be easy...

The blood, toil, tears, and sweat poured out by China in this battle is, to me, the most remarkable feature. The headless chicken has claimed many victories, yet in this shining moment China moved 676 fighters into position to fight in Croatia, more than behemoths such as Hungary, and out-damaging every one of their allies except for Romania and Croatia itself.



The struggle continues

The story of China in eRepublik is an inspiration to me and to many others. Situated precariously on the cross-roads of empires, it has faced down old enemies such as Pakistan and Iran and suffers continuous occupation from Hungary and Serbia, complicated by the natural presence of Russia; the trinity of the Phoenix empire and its military.

China has fought hard and will continue to fight hard, and we will continue to fight hard alongside China. We all know the incredible will and vibrancy of this ascendant country of Asia, the powerhouse that is China, and it is a will that cannot be broken. I have been witness to the growth of this country over the past year (see my article 10 Reasons to Love eChina). That unbreakable spirit has never been more evident than it is today.

My own country, Greece, is fortunate. After countries such as Romania and the USA helped to liberate Central Greece nearly a year ago, we have never lost it. China has suffered great misfortune. That in itself should give us even greater determination to do what we must to bring justice to those who oppress China and play dirty to do so.



The military strength of China has never been greater, and it grows day by day. We will not relent, and we will not give up. Whether that takes a month, two months, half a year or a year.
