So I was checking out that new map and couldn't help but notice that both Malaysia and Singapore are actually regions of high Oil concentration. I can't help but think that since we are allies a trading scheme with them might be an idea. Or if that doesn't work how about moving some citizens over there with enough start-up capital to begin oil businesses to ship it back over to eAustralia?
Not sure if this would work, but an interesting idea anyway.

I'm in the moving tickets game, and I must say that this idea appeals to me. Currently i'm forced to buy my oil in ID but if cheap oil was available at competitive prices, this would equal less cash going to ID and more for us and our allies!
Increasing trade between us and our Sol allies is a part of my platform I ran on and was elected to the Senate on. I have tried quickly in my first term to designate government loans to our Q3+ Grain and Diamond companies to purchase export licenses so that they can export to Sol allies like Malaysia and Singapore. In return, our allies would follow our lead to hand out loans to their companies so that they may export to us and other Sol allies.
However, without discussing this matter, the masters of our Senate who rule over our protective and capitalistic economy are voting against my measures for Sol economic cooperation. The reasoning I can only image being that they only wish for government money to be spent on export licenses that will provide the best returns for the companies who get them. And bedamned our allies. Our government is acting like amoral investment bankers rather than a nation who fully supports the economic growth of its allies. It is thus up to individual business owners to create economic cooperation when our government will not.
If it is profitable, I'm sure the public will pick it up.
once eSaudi Arabia comes into game. I will be a rich man
I have an oil company in Indo, (Albuera oil ABA) and export it to Aus, the profit margin is small but my oil is snapped up very quickly when I put it on the market.
I hear that Indonesian wages are very high, which is one of the reasons why they've always had such a high population. Oil Companies located anywhere else like eUSA or eMalaysia I think would be more profitable exporting Oil to us. However, I have also heard there was little demand in eAustralia for Oil. But if you say it is getting snapped up quickly then I guess perhaps the supply being imported has dropped.
I agree with you whole heartedly CQL.
If we were smart about it we could form a concrete alliance with other eNations based almost solely on economics. Our allies would fear to betray us and we would fear to betray them, simply because we would be so reliant on each others resources. eMalaysia and eSingapore are only high in Oil, we are high in Diamonds and Food, both of which could be traded to make all of our countries stronger
