Nominee for Knighthawks Military Council president

Hello Knighthawks and hello EAustralia

I am taking the JDS's lead and writing an article to announce my nomination for president of the Knighthawks Military Council, to introduce myself to the newer members of the party and community and to discuss what kind of vision I have for the party over the next month.

My nomination

I have nominated in game and would like to take the chance to wish all nominees the best of luck. The win should be for the party and not for us as individuals.

To me that means whatever the outcome and whoever wins we should all arrive at the same conclusion to energise the party not just at the election but afterwards as well. To build up the Knighthawks MC, discuss ideas to attract more players to the party and be out there in the EAussie media competing for our members and showing our ideas. I hope that vision is shared.

What we don't want is more silence, more inactivity and less reason for players to join.

About me

Some of you know me as Bree. I'm a real life South African-Australian having moved to Aus with my family when I was little. My first language is English but I have learned a little of my native Afrikaans with the help of family.

I have been playing ERep for over a year and held a number of positions. I was born into the game as an EAustralian citizen and originally joined the Green and Gold party. I resigned from G&G when the party left the top 5 list and there was little interest to save it. A last ditch attempt was made by one of my closest game mentors Majester, a former EAustralian prime minister. That was the last I remember.

Some of the older Knighthawks who came up from Junior Hawks will remember me as Second Commander under two Commands and a Squad Captain. I was a 4 time senator representing KnightHawks in the EAustralian Senate.

I served in the later half of the Mick Gatto government as Assistant Minister for Education and Public Information. For most of my time I was put in charge as editor of the DoD newspaper to post new battle priorities. A minor role was given to me to study foreign affairs as I expressed interest in embassy communications during the height of TWO and ACT.

Thoughts on the Knighthawks

The party has always had its highs and lows much like all parties have. At the time I expressed concern that party leaders had done very little to put the party out there in the media market. Parties like ARP and APP were leaving us for dead and worst of all there wasn't much interest to see that change. That disappointed me because Knighthawks shares an important part of the history that made EAustralia not only as a military unit but a political force. Past leaders of the country and the Eworld can credit Knighthawks for their early start.

My style of Knighthawks leadership

Like I spoke about above my first concern is to start aggressively marketing the party. When I say aggressive I don't mean a political tone. I do mean articles to messaging members to get involved and competitively recruit and expose the party to the community in as many ways as I can.

The next step is to engage members. JDS touched well on one of our greatest population challenges and that's the lack of a congress. I spoke about that in my last article. All parties will need to step this up but willing it won't be enough. The more hungry the step into politics the more engaged members will be as soldiers on the battlefield.

Start engaging with the government

The prime minister has called each of us to a great service. She has asked for EAustralia's help to deliver. That means the first order of business when congress comes back is to deal with the govt's agenda. They will be asking us to act and I am eager to listen to what the prime minister has to say.

Knighthawks have never denied government supply and as its president I will do what I can to lead our parliamentary party by example if there are enough numbers to join them in the next congress. I will only be running as a congress member if there are sufficient numbers and not enough candidates that will afford me to stand. Members will be coming first.

Thank you for your past support

I've noticed many past articles asking for things but not many stop to give thanks for past support. Thank you everyone for all the opportunities provided to me in government, in senate or in the military.

I hope to play some role in the next stage of EAustralian life and all it brings. I still have a lot to give.
