If you have not read about it. A world wide community game finally reached a milestone never before accomplished.

The amazing race was in season 2 sponsored by Plato. Yeah you have read it right. All of the prizes will be paid by eRepublik. I myself was a contestant and it was really a hoot.

In each episode contestant had a clue when the next article would be placed and where. All of them could then answer only 1 question and got random points based on their question.

Prizes ranged from much money to stacks that will be awarded by Plato.

Amazing Race Season 3: Bigger bolder and hopefully better. From season 3 starting date to be announced I will be by agreement with the current hosts eraclev and Shartyowl the next moderator/administrator and head honcho of the Amazing Race. We will still try to keep the involvement with eRepublik and many big countries going. But what is more we will try and make a better game closer to the actual television show.

This we will do by :

1. Creating all episodes on Google Forms
2. Implementing many series concepts in the Forms such as:

a. The game will be time based. You will create a time stamp when you log into the amazing race portal and you will create a time stamp when you complete the episode. Based on those 2 stamps the order of completion is determined. A range of time penalties is added to your total and your time of completion. The winner gets a deduction. Each additional finisher get 1 minute added to their total time. Lets say the winner get -10 minutes then player number 10 will get 0 minutes added or deducted and from there each player will get 1 minute added. Player 70 will get an hour added.

a.1. We will have an overall time. Which is time to complete episode + time allotted/deducted(based on rank)
a.2. However each episode will start with only a minimal time penalty or deduction in seconds. So that each player stands a chance to win any of the episodes. Think tour de france. Overall time winner but everyone start together and can win a stage.

c. Detours player will get detours where they have to decide between 2 tasks like in the game.



d. Each missed task like in the game will carry a time penalty. So get a question wrong and you get time added to your completion time.

e. Fast forwards -



Players will have the opportunity to complete a fast forward to immediately advance to the pit stop . However penalties for missing answers will be much more severe than for a normal competitor. Current difficult for some topics such as math or science will be included or common knowledge questionarraies like movies/music or the arts.

f. Speed Bumps the winner of the previous race will be able to decide on a speed bump for certain players . All players will be presented with a selection such as Speed Bump - contestant Eraclev for example. The person who is selected will have to complete an extra section



g. Instead of money as a starting point the players will depending on their previous round positions get a certain seconds deduction or addition.

h. Route Info

Route Information clues instruct the teams where to go next. Such a clue usually provides only the name of the team's next destination; it is up to the teams to figure out how to get there. The destination may be given in a cryptic manner, such as a flag representing the country whose capital they are to fly to, or an obfuscation such as the "westernmost point in mainland Europe". In these cases, teams may use any resources, such as the help of locals or borrowing an Internet-connected device, to learn of the required destination.

In our form it will be question /answer based with a heavier penalty for skipping it or answering it incorrectly.



b. Elimination - there will be certain pre determined non elimination rounds. For all other rounds the player will be eliminated.

Pit stops. Like in the series a player will reach a pitstop . At the start of each episode all players start with the same time minus or plus an added time value.



At the start of the next round the last players must complete a hazard



3. Each day will start with the results from the previous day and an hour afer that in the country where we ended the days race/episode.

4. As many countries as feasible will help us with this and provide us with country specific content.



5. We will have a host country where the race will start and end.



6. Contents will be limited by technology. It will be questions/ answer based on text, video or images. Depending on our development stage it may involve game based activities like donate such and such items(returned after completion) to player X or depending on eRepublik involvement may involve real missions(dont get your hopes up). After completing a game based task you will continue on the normal episode in google forms. It may involve embedded mini games even if only text based.

7. Your knowledge of game mechanics will be tested as well. You maybe required to publish an article in country X and get 10 comments for example or tell us how to make 1 Q7 WEP.

8. Prizes for episode winners:will probably money/food/moving tickets/q5 houses/ or weps or a combination of all them.

9. Big prizes for the eventual winner: The winner of the race and runners up will hopefully be as well rewarded as the winners of the current season.
