Big Picture Time

Hello fellow Aussies, friends and allies. I'm writing this article in an attempt to open some eyes and push the big picture.
For too long eAustralia has looked only after our own interests. We were neutral for too long, we squandered countless opportunities to pick a side and jump into the fray on the world stage, many citizens scared that we aren’t/weren’t big enough to survive once we put ourselves on the line. Our Sol friends and brothers will attest to the fact that we are always willing to put ourselves into a fray, we always stick up for our allies. India will tell you that eAussies are the best kind of friends. Malaysia will tell you that eAussies will fight to the last man. Even Iran will tell you that eAustralia always defends their allies and in fact they were furious with us for doing so. Even going so far as to claim ‘they will never forget’ that we fought for India’s freedom. Well Iran, well Phoenix, well EDEN, I’m here to tell you that eAustralia never forgets. We never forget our friends. This has always been the case and always will be the case.
However, recently a whole new egeneration of new eAustralians are learning what it is like to fight a battle for your own country and for survival. I think it is important for all of our citizens both new and old to remember that this war is basically eAustralias first true war since declaring ourselves supporters of EDEN. Many newer players were getting frustrated by what they perceived as a lack of caring by our EDEN allies during the battles for WA and NT. But I want to assure these people that whilst EDEN was busy fighting in Europe, our war effort still impacted the results. The battles against Turkey were more important for the alliance of EDEN, but this isn’t EDENs fault, it doesn’t mean they aren’t caring, it just means that strategically it made sense to split the enemies damage and then to protect a region which is closer to the action.
Ultimately, through our defence of WA and the NT we absorbed about 2 million points of damage that would have otherwise been spent on tanking against eGreece and possibly even the eUS in eChina. Through eAustralias sheer grit and determination, through our digger spirit and the help we received from mates overseas we stopped over 2 million damage being used on our Allies. Considering the war in the Aegean Island was won by less than one hundred thousand damage, I think that is a good result. Our lost battles against the eBrazilians weren’t for nothing. Just because we lost the fights and a few regions does not mean we are beaten. It does not mean our gold was wasted. It does not mean we will not reclaim those regions.
Being part of an alliance ultimately means making a sacrifice for your allies. We took a bullet for EDEN when we defended WA so valiantly and it was well worth it. Once upon a time eCanada and the eUS were enemies. Now they are perhaps the closest two eNations in the whole republik. Why? Because eCanada was willing to put each and every region of theirs on the line because they believed in their eUS allies, they were willing to lose everything for their alliance. This is what we need to show our EDEN friends. Our Sol allies know we are dependable. It’s time to show our EDEN allies that we are. It’s time to fight hard, side by side with our brothers in arms.

Thank you to all of our allies, especially eUS who matched us blow for blow in both battles.
VICTORYMAXXXXX!
Top article. The alliance is bigger than any one country, but any one country should also be able to stand alone like we have. Be proud eAustralia the war is not over yet.
If you aren't willing to take one for the team you don't belong on the team I say!!
HAIL!
Voted top Article, thankyou to our allies who are stepping up to the plate and helping to defend Australia

"We took a bullet for EDEN when we defended WA so valiantly"
Wasn't it in our own interests to defend WA so valiantly? I don't really think we were doing it for the alliance, and I wouldn't call our defense of WA a sacrifice for the others in the alliance.
I would call our brothers' assistance in defense of our country a sacrifice by THEM and in turn one day when they call upon us I hope we in turn do the same.
This is a good, and healthy, perspective on things.
And besides, EDEN haven't abandoned us. The wall on South Australia is quite enormous now, and I'm hoping that retaining SA is the first step in a counterattack to retake NT and WA, and even to push on into the African territories. Whilst Brazil retains any stronghold in Africa, South Africa and (by inference) Australia will always be under threat.
We have to accept that the fates of Australia and South Africa are now intertwined.
I in no way think that what we did was solely for EDEN or any alliance but I can totally see how my wording might have made you think that Infin. Basically what I meant was that whilst EDEN were busy elsewhere doing the real heavy fighting, eAus effectively acted as a meat shield splitting the damage up. Whether or not we did it on purpose it doesn't matter because I can guarantee you that both EDEN and Phoenix were well aware of the fact. When 10 giant Indo tanks didn't show up in Greece but were needed to put down a tiny upstart country like us, I count that as a victory for us all.

yes very true, but I don't want history to paint this as a strategic masterstroke by eAus. It was desperate measure! I am sure however Greece did appreciate having another front to distract their aggressor and I agree overall with your sentiments.
Great article, I commend your literary skills. Voted and Subscribed.
We were distracted in Greece, yes. But consider the region under attack had over a thousand greek players. Imagine what damage would have to be further averted when Turkey attacked mainland Greece, and those 1000 people who could no longer fight in Australia. Australia lost two regions because of this, but now it will regain them and maybe a little more 😉
I fight for Australia
¡Viva Australia!
We shall assist you against the personas. We are with you.

Excellent article!
