I feel the same as you, i went for my 1st ever BH about 2 weeks ago and it got swept from under my feet with just one kill extra. It took me ages to build up anough resources to try for BH and I obviously ended up spending every thing I had plus whatever gold I had. I must admit, i was sorely dissappointed but alas, one day I will have enough to try again.

Go for it while you can. I lost out on exactly the same way only finding out and hour or so later that a specific few people collected the BH's for the RW's to get our provinces back from Brazil. When I complained about it to the CP, I was informed that Miyagiyoda set out a schedule of when what RW was to take place. Well, like a fool, I sat waiting to support at least on or two of the RW, but up to now, I have never seen the start of it, only while they were about 10 or so minute on the way.

Guess who was in on the deal, well, that's how I see it any way after the reply I got.

You fight with all you have then one person come and with 4 hits take the BH right from under you just because that was the way it was discussed, wit a lame story that he lost 3 BH's before, but going back on the shouts, you pick up all the BH's he picked up.

Planified BH's? I only know to mark it in the first minute and if a friend is doing the same then pm and friendly agreement. Never seen anything else.

I think it's fine to plan BH's. But that doesn't give said planners the right to moan when someone else gets in on the action. Same as you really can't complain when someone snags your BH in the last minute of the battle. It's the game and us small guys usually lose out anyway so who's business is it if I go in and super-tank once every six months?

Hi Li, You make a fair Statment, firstly i would like to find out more about the eSAAF personel that are currently doing this. As far as i am aware no one plan's BH medals and there is definietly no pecking order regarding BH's medals in eSAAF. I can atest for myself that when im hitting in division 4 and i see crumoet or Stan hitting i ask if they are going for the BH etc. this is taken as a gentlemans agreement and not cast in stone. besides as others have mentioned ppl can come in.....

...swoop the BH in the dying minutes. I can assure you if ppl in the eSAAF are doing this as planned BH's i will look into the problem and address it. I would require more detail information regarding the soldiers that are doing this.

As for RW's i also did not get into any of them either, ppl are in the regions at the time and they get it. I also did not get the info that was sent. it's more the luck of timing than anything else. and i can imagine if a public broadcast was made as to when...

.... rw's are going to be done, im sure there would be RW medal hunters all over the world waiting. and RW last 24 hours and then the next one can be started if u in the region that is going to be RW'd and you online, you have a better chance. I feel the same about the planned RW's. This is definitively organised by the elite few and the average guy on the street wont have a chance. I have also seen how the big guys like Crum, Stan and Grim operate and they give it each other a chance as Grim mentioned and there is nothing wrong with that! If you want to get a BH, talk! These are well respected nice guys and will give you a chance. 🙂

I'll see if I can find out the names, but my insider did not tell me who it was, just that there was some unhappiness at me 'taking' their planned and coordinated medals. As for the RW's, I know for a fact that it is planned. I moaned about it once and got a pm telling me where and when. I promise that within seconds those slots were filled up. My question, is it just coincidence that some RW spots go faster than others? How is the 'normal' citizen supposed to know which RW's are legit and...

@ Mad, But that's the whole problem. How were we to know that we have to ask if we can have a go at the BH. I thought it was up for grabs for anyone capable? No one told me that you have to ask. And how should I know who is gunning for BH. No one told me that either. I don't even know who all the top gunners are, as I'm not in their circle. As far as I know these things are mostly discussed on IRC. I'm not on IRC.

I really meant BH, specially when fighting for eSA. As it counts for true patriot, we "meet" there the same regulars.
About starting a RW when it's supposed to win are planned with more or less precision. It's not so common so it's planned and not always but lately, published in advance in MoD newspaper.

The rest for hitting it is just as Grimstone says (region,timing...)

@ kuckuck, wrt to the RW's. yes, they were mentioned in the dod paper, but unless I was refreshing the home page every 2 seconds, we will never know when. THAT is not public info. That is planned. I know what I'm talking about, as both me and Nickerball tried once. We refreshed the homepage every few seconds and we were on the phone with each other. In the time it took us to refresh once, all the slots were taken. THAT is precision planning, and that way we will never get those medals.

@Liquidice; the RW's where the slots get filed write away, are the planned one. Happens everywhere, mostly it's the CP and the army-top that are involved. I only have one RH medal, and that was in the time I was advisor for the eBelgium CP, who'd told me when and where. I agree; it ain't fair, but on the other hand, RW's need to be planned, that works it in the hand. 😛

@LiquidIce: it is not a have to, to ask for a bh. I think i might have not explained myself properly. If i come online and someone is in the BH contention spot and I know i have more damage to offer than what has been posted. I contact the person and query if they going for the BH or not. This is common courtesy, as i could easily take it but believe in everyone gettiing a chance. This is to avoid the Hated BH Hunter profile! if they want BH, i hit in the next round and try then.

In terms of the RW medals, the government could have let people know upfront which ones would be supported and which ones not. During my term as CP, I asked people to follow my shouts as to which regions would be returned in which order - and we stuck to it. This gave every citizen a fair chance at getting a medal, rather than only those few at the top and "in the know".

@mulderpf, exactly, if you could do it, then why can't it be done again? As for broadcasting about RW's, no one said to broadcast it everywhere, but last time I checked the is a shout section for the MU's. Why not use that? Or am I not seeing the bigger picture?

@grim, at the time I gunned for BH, I was in top spot from the very start. How was I then to know someone else wants the BH? No one pm'ed me? I got 2 BH and the CH, and 2 days later I heard that I wasdiscussed in IRC and some people were not happy with what I have done. That day I did over 4 000 000 damage for eSA. Maybe next time I must gun for BH in another war so that the 'top guys' can gloat about what THEY did for eSA.

Also, go back in the shouts and see who the regular BH and RW 'winners' are, and make your own conclusions...

I hate to say this but I know how it feels, many times people have stolen my BH and all I can say is that it's a part of the game you can't fight.
If your going for the BH then make sure you'll take it. It feels horrible when someone steals your BH with only seconds left but hey it's a part of the game , you can't do anything about it.
The BH hunters won't stop hunting the BH's and if your new in the game and doesn't buy gold your screwed. Even I that have been playing for 2½ years will...

@LI: Yeah, perhaps that didn't sit quite right. I meant small in regards to all this BH stuff. As a fighter in general I can't really make that claim though.

How can I steal someone's BH if I didn't even knew it 'belonged' to someone else. In my opinion, I got it fair and square. And I WILL do it again. BH medals are for anyone who can do the damage. And if I step on a few toes in the process, then so be it.

@LI, you did not steal anyone's BH and would like to assit where possible. It cannot the big hitters as they in different divisions than you. But i feel your pain and sympathise. Again there is no pecking order. i must reiterate that. If no one pm;d you then tough luck to them. At the end of the day everyone deserves a chance to get medals. I;m personally happy to give up a BH medal if someone wants it. I guess some people are selfish. Don't let it get to you.

@LiquidIce: It's more a matter of timing. I try to estimate when will finish the battle so when I have to login to start a RW, and then try to know where (look a the map, read CP / MoD / eSSAF newspapers.
In this last wipe and recovery I couldn't get one but it worked twice the time before.

About BH's... Just yesterday I started marking a round from first second with a big missile and kept kicking. In first refresh we where 4 bh aspirants. 2 left soon, one was Veschy (we fight at the same times and I imagine he finds me in "position" half of the times I do, saving influence distances). The other went up to 23 kills with 1,2M. I used my health and pushed untill 1,6 alway the first. One hour later came in, a bit more till 1,7 just to show on screen I'm there.

Well, I didn't had the chance to see it. The next round I could see he had 2,2M so he got the BH.
The name? Already forgotten, doesn't deserve space in my mind. The thing? The sooner forgotten the happier I'll be. The lesson? Fight with honour and you'll deserve the respect of real War Sirs, like Grimstone, Veschy and many others.

@LI: That day I was watching the fight and suffering a bit that a big tank came, because 4M was a cheap CH. But you showed intentions right, the "locals" respected and you had the difficult first CH. Just fine.

I published a recommended order for RWs in the SA DoD Orders so that we could get resources back as fast as possible.

I personally did not get a single medal either.

The reason I published a list was in the hope that between the RW medal hunters and South African citizens we could get regions back in the right order. Two of the battles started out of order. We can ask, but the nature of how these wars start means that the script kiddies and people with the least lag win.

The preferred order of starting the RW was published in the DoD daily orders which every citizen is expected to read and vote.

Resistance wars are started when the required number of slots are filled, there is no way to control this.

BH's are available to anyone who is willing to fight for one, it is a courtesy to contact the person in the BH slot if you intend to go for BH.

If the wall is under 50% then it is every man for himself, the object is to win battles!

Aye I do remember the order being posted. But not everyone follows said order so you get what happened =o

@StanEslah - you have to be kidding me! There was a singular "preferred order" posted which wasn't followed at all and also, newspaper articles are only valid for two days. Return of the regions took at least five days. You want to say that this was a completely fair return with information being freely distributed (when there was a single DoD over the ENTIRE PERIOD????). Go and make jokes elsewhere....

mulderpf, was obviously clear which regions will be released by Brazil. Even Polish citizens asked me about this and I sent them presidency informing articles. So everyone was know we can win RH medal from which region. No need to blame goverment about this I guess.

I have been playing for 3 years... I have 0 BH and 0 RW medals ( check my profile) . So if there were a conspiracy among the higher ups in eSAAF to get medals, please let me know about it. I'd love some extra G. With the exception of the planned wipe/RW reset with brazil last week, ALL RWs in SA are not authorized as far as I know.

@ Miyagiyoda The script kiddies are alive and well. Some of your RW's aren't even shown and the battle has started, before the average cit gets a chance to support it. I have seen it in action myself, after it was brought to my attention.

Jeebus! If you realy want a BH just get it already! Don´t complain if you loose it to someone stronger and better than you! It´s a jungle out there and the strong shall prevail! Don´t write whiny articles, shut your yapper and fight harder, that´s how you earn a BH and if you´re strong enough a CH in the end!
