Beggar Fever consumes eCommunity!

Day 652, 16:52 Published in Russia Russia by fuzzleofdoom

It's cheap, it's easy, it's quick money.
Be it votes, gold or subscriptions, if you want something, you can work hard for it, or you can simply ask for it. Get enough people to read your ad and, and even if it's only one of a hundred, you will end up having quite the nice result at the end of the day.
That's great, as long as it's an original idea. However, slowly but surely, one beggar turns into two and then into three and then into ten... at some point it just stops being original.
Do we want to see an ad asking for money every time we look at the citizen ads? Even if they have cute kittens and puppies and tasty looking cookies? Do we want to have empty articles with nothing but "please vote" written in them to be voted into the top rated articles, maybe even to squeeze out important news?
Personally, I really do not.
This is The Spy's appeal to the eworld's community:
If you have to ask for something, don't pile beggar articles one after another like that. It's unoriginal, boring and the more you pile them, the less you'll actually get as a result.
If you happen to support this appeal, please vote, so more people get to read it. Maybe we will reach some citiziens before they post such an article. Maybe we'll change their mind.

In response to some readers' feedback and in order to prevent future misunderstandings, it has been decided that a diclaimer be added to this issue, which will be standard for every future issue of The Spy:
The Spy does not, nor will it ever, ask for it's readers to vote simply for the sake of voting. The Spy does, however, reserve the right to ask it's readers for votes in the event that they agree with the message within the article and want to help spread said message in erepublic.
