Bayer for Congress in North Dakota

Day 483, 15:05 Published in USA USA by Robert Bayer

Ladies and gentlemen,

I am today declaring my candidacy to represent North Dakota in the House of Representatives. Though the vast majority of my platform can be found here, allow me to briefly outline what I support:

1. Eliminate Value-Added Taxes in their Entirety -- Value-added taxes hurt those who make the least the most and are in the end redistributory -- but in the wrong direction. Instead of those who are the most well-off amongst us helping those who need help, it is rather those who are the poorest who wind up having to support the wealthiest. This is simply unfair.

2. Do Not Cave to the Demands of Foreign Governments -- Though I am on the whole supportive of Uncle Sam's policies, I am forced to disagree with him with regards to his policy of reconciliation with the United Kingdom. They refused to honor our alliance and instead used extortionist methods to acquire gold from our national treasury. Such two-facedness should be punished, not rewarded.

3. Make Use of Nationalized Industries -- Under Uncle Sam's government, the eUnited States has created a number of corporations under government ownership in the area of weapons production. I highly approve of this tactic as a means to ensure that our military is well-supplied. Indeed, at the time of the measure's introduction, weapons supplies in the eUnited States were extremely scarce and expensive -- and their prices even further skyrocketed during wartime due to the wildly inflated demand.

These are the three most important issues on my platform. As for qualifications, remember that I am president of the Progressive America Federation, an active participant in the eUS forums as well as the eRepublik forums, and an attentive journalist.

This election day, I encourage you to vote your conscience.

Regards,
Robert Bayer
