Skopian winter homeland and Arab rebellions

Mercenary subduing Arab insurgents in Jizan on behalf of Greek colonial forces

Following the quelling of the barbarian uprising in the Skopian territories north of Macedonia, the constituent Hellenic ethno-republics of Egypt and Arabia suffered an opportunistic rebellion designed to drain Greek damages against the Skopians.

While it certainly has caused some problems, the Saudi Arab rebel leader got over ambitious a few days ago and declared Greece a natural enemy. This has allowed Greek forces to gradually re-capture the Arab territories. Currently only Mecca remains as a stronghold of the poorly organized Saudi Arabian insurgency.

Cypriot forces have also had similar problems, recapturing Al-Jawf, and now having to reassert authority over Abu Dhabi, which fell to rebels roughly 2 days go.

Meanwhile, Western Egypt and the lower section of the Nile remain in a state of anarchy, as the Egyptian rebel state fails to accommodate the needs of the local nomads. Despite this, a rebellion has ensued in Middle Egypt. Most likely the result of the Skopian resistance, which started a fresh revolt in the impoverished wastelands of Poverdarie.

This in itself is most likely the result of recent animosity between Skopia and their Canadian hosts, who while initially welcoming of their guests, can no longer stand their arrogance, gypsy like attitude and the poverty and criminality they have brought to Northern Canada.

The Skopians have also set up similar favella like camps in Ireland and England with less opposition. These camps, often underground in former metro systems or underground passes, have been dubbed by Skopian chief leaders as "Winter wounderlands", where effigy of Alexander the Great are put up, to protect them against evil spirits.

Romania and its troubles with Bulgaria

Bulgarian soldiers marching to positions in Varna

Ukraine has already been a thorn on Romania's side, having been the result of various anti-Asteria rebellions leading to large sections of the country establishing independence. However, while undermining of the Romanian power, this is the least of Romania's concerns.

Recently the Bulgars were successful in expelling the Romanians, after a long attritional battle in Eastern Bulgaria. Since then, they have marched north into Romanian core territory with great assistance from the anti-Asteria/LETO movements, capturing Dobrega and Muntenia. After failing to capture Iasi, and losing Mutenia home of Bucharest, the Romanians now march south into Varna while simulatenously launching guerilla attacks in Dobrega. What is interesting about this war is the wide usage of household appliances as weapons in the large urban conflicts that take place.

Invasion of Spoland

Polish resistance forces in Krakow

After Polands application to enter Asteria, most likely a ploy to safeguard its formally mighty continental European Empire succumbed to massive assault. The Argentinians spearheaded the assault, invading much of the Polish homeland. Meanwhile the Serbs have marched across former Polish territories in Western and Central Europe, establishing themselves as the new continental European Empire.

The consequences of this appear to be a loss of dominance in the South American continent by Argentina, as both the Chilean and Argentinian empires suffer widespread disorder in their colonies. Notably, the Chileans along with the Croats and Turks are suffering Chinese mass rebellions, while Argentinia has lost its Pacific colonies and is having problems in Nigeria.

In Spain the situation is similar to Poland but less grand. The USA, viewing Spain both as a potential threat and as an easy means to acquire all necessary bonuses without maintaining colonies, has declared war on Spain, and launched a devastating attack on Cantabria. Portugal has also opportunistically joined in the fun, and has launched an attack on Gallicia.

The battle for Satander witnessed the deployment of the new T-45d battle power armours by the Americans, designed to absorb bullets and make conventional weapons and warfare near useless, with the Spaniards forced to apply more indirect means of fighting.
