A little history report thanks to our good friend Maxmillian VW

The Birth and Evolution of the eUS Airborne

Started 25MAY2009 by General (Ret) Leroy Combs. General Combs appointed Col. Maxmillian VonWillebrand of the US Army and Col. Joshua Hoss of the US Marine Corps as the heads of the two new branches, the 82nd Airborne Battalion and the 101st Airborne Battalion. Col. VonWillebrand took command of the 82nd, and Col. Hoss took the 101st. Together, they reported in directly to General Combs, and his XO, Lt. General Armandez.

With the growth of both battalions in number of platoons, both eventually reached sufficient size around 20JUN2009 and became divisions within the eUS Airborne. General Combs continued to develop the structure and size of the Airborne through his departure on 24JUN2009, when he turned the branch over to Joshua Hoss, along with the promotion to General. Maxmillian VonWillebrand assumed the role of Lt. General with the departure of Armandez, and Dreadnuts the Mighty was promoted to Major General and held the 3rd position in the Airborne.

On 31JUL2009 Maxmillian VonWillebrand took over as General of the Airborne with the departure of Joshua Hoss who left to make his bid for the Presidency of the eUnited States of America. He lost his candidacy and never returned to the Airborne (until recently), assisting forces elsewhere in regaining regions from PEACE. General VonWillebrand named Dreadnuts the Mighty his XO and Lt. General of the eUS Airborne (who by the end of August had moved on to join the Marine Corps). The new XO for the AB is TheSpartan who also became CO of the 82nd with the retirement of Beefy.

The Airborne has roughly 85-105 members and currently owns 6 companies spread out across the eUSA and its allied nations that it uses to employ its members and achieve self sufficiency. This has been an ongoing process for some time now, and just recently came to full-swing.

Now since the history lesson is through, time to talk about what the Airborne actually does.

The Airborne, as you probably know, serves as a middle ground between the Army and the Marines. We fulfill this by being a completely mobile force, moreso than the MI, that is able to ship out and fight in foreign countries at a moments notice. Along with our ability to move out everyday at anytime, we compliment this ability of ours with IRC. IRC, or internet chat relay, is a way for our soldiers to get to know one another, their leaders, and overall have a good time. While on IRC, there are always interesting conversations ranging from barbecuing to some ridiculous ones (eating hamsters and gerbils???). But, IRC is not just a place where we can relax with friends, it is where we find up to date orders, talk about the welfare of the AB, and make coordinated assaults on targets. This last part is one of our claims to fame, other than just being down right amazing. Coordinated assaults work a little like this, At a pre-determined time, everyone, or as many people can due to RL, meet up. Once we have meet up, then the fun begins. Anxious, we wait till the clock finally arrives on the designated time, and then we strike. It is an amazing thing. If you are looking at the wall, it looks like it is magically is dropping. first by 1K, then 5K, then 10K, then 20K, then 50K, then to 100K within in only a few minutes. This right there is what makes me proud to be part of the AB.

Along with our amazing fighting skills, 😛 , the AB is nearing self sufficiency. This will allow our fighting force to not rely on money from the tax payers. It further enhances the power of the Airborne to prevail no matter how imperialistic the PEACE nations become, WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP!!! BOO-YAH!

If any of this interests you, then sign up for the Airborne today!

Stay tuned to next week's article where we will discuss the AB compared to the other branches.
