Babyboom Project

Babyboom Project Results
Good afternoon folks!
We’ve launched a Facebook advert on our own very special like page. So special that Sluagh and Don Croata made me their slave (just kidding, still love ya!)
Thanks to those who contributed their own money to the project and wouldn’t have been accomplished without your generosity.
Most importantly it’s time to show the statistics of our Facebook advert.
• As we can see the majority of people reached were in favour of males which is not surprising since this game is male dominated.
• The highest age group reach was 18-25 years and it’s very evenly spread out among other age groups.
• Mobile devices was the most popular placement of our advert which is not surprising as the majority of people have Facebook on their smartphone these days.
• Desktop feed received the lowest and the main factor would be a majority of people have Adblocker installed on their PC.
• The majority of clicks were received from males
• We received the most clicks from the 25-34 age group whereas 18-24 isn’t too far behind
• As expected the majority of clicks were from mobile devices while desktop received the lowest
• Women were the most expensive (damn women!)
• 35-44 and 45-54 age groups were the most expensive groups to be targeted
• As expected Desktop feeds were the most expensive as more people would have access to a laptop and a desktop at home
Well, what did we get out of it?
We saw some results such as new citizens popping up but to keep them in this game is the most difficult task to accomplish. However we may not have achieved the babyboom we wanted but these statistics give us a good reflection of what our target audience is.
Thanks for reading,
Ian

well done to all involved o/
Yet another learning experience. Next attempt should be an Irish site, such as a news site.
Great Job Ian. How many new citizens did you get and how many did you keep say after two weeks?
Approx. I'd say 10-15 ish but we couldn't manage to retain many of them. If we keep 4 or 5 and get them active it would be a success in my eyes.
Great work.
Such a pity so few has decided to actually register...I'm not even sure if there's anyone who registered in this period...
Sorry, but i said multiple times that without spending a lot on facebook you won't have much success. I'd already spent around 50 bucks trying to get people through facebook and donated another 40 or so for this attempt. I got around 15 people to join just by posting up ads on craigslist and none of them stayed either but it was entirely free. If 10 people did it and spammed craigslist we'd have big results.
Facebook isn't the answer. Google ads is better but you have to spend big to see big results as w facebook ads. We need to find someone to make a solid ad graphic and advertise on Irishtimes, IrishCentral, or the Independent. I'm more than willing to donate again for such an attempt.
Best way is to write to one of the biggest TV and they can make a reportage for the game.
many people have talked about doing a BB but nobody actually done it until you and your team did. Is just a pity it wasnt as successful as planned :/
Proud of ya man
