Aug Expectations: Treian for CP

Good day eCanada
Today I write to you to explain my goals and hopes for the months of aug. if I am elected as your CP.
First off, my cabinet list will be out following this article, so please watch for that.
Now, our first problem: Our financial state. As it is currently we are spending far more CAD than we are making as a nation. This needs to stop. While we are currently at war and fighting to get our whole nation back, if we spend until we run out, we'll have nothing left to uphold our MPP's, to fund our MU's or any other program that is designed to help our citizens. To combat this, I will work with the MoF to produce a "balanced" budget that is sustainable and that allows us to continue to fund and fight our way back to a whole eCanada again. Also with this I am bringing in an Auditor General who will be keeping tabs on ALL spending down to the last ePenny to ensure we are not wasting any of our funds. With this I hope to continue to build our reserves again, slowly while still keeping funding at reasonable levels.
Next we need our regions back or we need to take some from somewhere else. I think we've all felt the pinch of not having all our regions and the bonus' that they bring. Those bonus' allow us to produce more food and weapons so that we can fight more and thus rank up faster while maintaining our own personal wealth. Each of us would benefit from the regional bonus' and it should be our goal to see this happen. Now Poland isn't a pushover in the slightest, so if we cannot get them out, we'll need to look elsewhere for this, that could include looking to swap with our bro's so they can gain something too, or this could mean going after someone else to get what we need. Either way as CP I will explore all options to help us out.
Funding and taxes are a huge topic in congress these days, and it needs to be addressed. Yes we need taxes, but no we don't need to take everything a citizen makes. Funding for our MU's our MPP's and our construction programs needs to be maintained and a small amount needs to be kept in reserve, but no more than that. A balance between spending and taxation needs to be found and I will achieve this with the help of my cabinet.
New player retention is key in building an active population, and I will put out articles to help them get better familiarized with the game and it's many "fun" features like our forums and IRC. Until a realistic baby boom effort can be made I think that's the best we can do.
Lastly we need to work with our allies to solidify eCanada position within our alliances but we also need to make sure eCanada can benefit from it. I would like to see us with a NE so long as it is realistic and we can get our allies to follow and back us in the effort. A NE helps you rank up faster and that is never a bad thing. Our MU's are fighting to defend and re-take our nation and with a NE they can get a rank bonus with every hit. I will not rush into this blindly but I do want to see the right one chosen.
With that daily battle orders will be put out and I would ask everyone to follow orders as helping our allies (if that is the daily requirement) will only help us in the long run.

Except for MPPs and the Construction Program, all the money that moves around in the government is basically for MU funding (I'm including TCO and CAF in that label for sake of ease).
There is currently a Comptroller Act being discussed that places someone in charge of distributing funds and maintaining records of these transactions. To me, this seems to overlap with the role of the AG. Would it be necessary to have both? Only one? Would you appoint someone to the Comptroller position?
AG is a good position to fill, yet the Comptroller does the lion's share of that same work already.

People aren't concerned with "Tracking Every Penny", they are more concerned with where those pennies will come from and how many will be distributed to where...
Any opinions on that yet?, or are you still playing both sides of the fence on that issue...

Plugson- I believe there is room for both the Comptroller and an AG, however until the act passes, and congress approves this, I will carry an AG only.

Treian , do you think CAF soldiers should donate at least some of their battle hero gold medals back to the government? aren't they (including you) have received tax payers money ? shouldn't they give something back? or that doesn't count? just a legit question ..
Ali- Many of us in MU's and in the CAF receive funds. I was taking my share until recently, but we get supplied and then we have to follow orders with that supply.
Those of us who get a BH often spend WAY more than our supply, however many congressmen donate their gold back and so do some soldiers. It should be something that people consider, but we can't force them to donate the gold.

but if the government invest in CAF soldiers, using tax payers money, shouldn't they at least contribute something back? after all those tax increase were done because government wants more tax payers money to fund CAF ..
as for congressional gold it could all be donated to government, some countries do that , they have funds based on "congressional gold" but it's understandable that many congressmen are reluctant to do that due to the fact that Canada's treasury is more likely to be stolen ..

Aliu those Tax hikes are going to more than just CAF, so by this logic All MU that receive funding such as hope and CAF and TCO should be expected to donate something back as one way or another tax dollars have gone to aid them in the fight....
As Treian said most BH are achieved by spending way over and above the funds received and usually now a days the 5 gold you get hardly makes up for what was spent...
And Rolo as much as i respect what you tried to do when you won CP this is quickly becoming a sad sad failed attempt to smear a man that has never done anything wrong so give it up already will ya!

I have been involved in governing Before you joined the game I'll wager, I took a break and focused in on military endevours. With some CP's robbing the nation for all it's worth, I decided it was time to come back to this.
Where's that CAD and gold you owe eCanada Rolo?

2) What SPECIFIC experience in "governing" have you had that leads you to believe that you are capable and qualified to be CP?

You have less than two months on me Rolo, and you avoid every question in regard to your past and the stolen gold/CAD that you took while elected CP.
