ATOM

Day 1,660, 17:07 Published in Canada Canada by Runner15

Hello everyone from around the eWorld,

This game that we are currently playing has fallen into a tremendous hole of boredom, repetition, and greed. Every week, Turkey is fighting Bulgaria, Serbia is fighting Croatia, Poland is fighting Germany, and F.Y.R.O.M. is fighting Greece. Almost every other day I wake up to find a new offer conjured up by Plato to suck real life money away from players seeking to progress in a fictional world. It might be true that almost every video game looks to do this, but eRepublik takes just as much if not more money without the added bonus of feeling like you are somehow becoming better. There is nothing to get better at, you can only do exactly what everyone else can. This is exactly why so many players have decided that they'd be better off quitting this game altogether.

The only thing that would make this more fun without relying on the Admins to implement new game mechanics (which tend to just cause the problem to grow) is to shake up the alliances. With Canada's recent exit from EDEN, I began to evaluate my nation's status on an international scale. The one conclusion that I came to is that eCanada should become the first member of what I call....ATOM. Of course, you do not know what ATOM is, so I will first explain how I got to this name. eCanada should become Pro-TERRA and Pro-ONE, which Then turned into Pro-TON. A proton is obviously just one piece of the larger, more cohesive structure known as the atom. This is how I came to the name of ATOM, also known as Allied Terra-One Mediation.

So as of this day, Day 1660 of the eWorld, I am advocating the change in Canada's allied stance to TEDEN versus ONE to the more mutually beneficial stance of ATOM versus EDEN. This change, if implemented on a global scale, would certainly cause some others to switch sides and loyalties, but it would no doubt balance out quite soon. It would become the strong against the weak, but also the few against the many, causing a balance not currently seen in inter-country politics. The name would also imply the faith versus the science, so don't just hope for change in EDEN, make it so with ATOM.

The first of many,

And special thanks to Pappas for helping with this. He may be neutral towards the idea, but he is probably one of the best writers I know.
