ATLANTIS or PEACE

I 'm writing this article mainly to foster discussion and comments. I do not profess to knowing everything about the pro's and con's about joining either side, and I think that we really need to make up our minds soon.

There has been lots of discussion generated about choosing ATLANTIS or PEACE, but I haven't yet seen a good article on this (I may be wrong)

Just so everyone knows, here are the countries of ATLANTIS:
* Argentina
* Canada
* Norway
* Romania
* Spain
* Sweden
* UK
* USA

And PEACE:
* Greece
* Pakistan
* Bulgaria
* Portugal
* Brazil
* Italy
* Austria
* Indonesia
* Hungary
* Venezuela
* Japan
* Iran
* France
* Netherlands
* Turkey
* Mexico

I'll let you know my view now. I'd rather we join ATLANTIS. Judging solely on the performance of ATLANTIS in the recent wars, particularly against eFrance, ATLANTIS has been carving it up. That's not to say that eFrance has been completely helpless, as they have largely reversed their losses by now.

If you don't know, I like to read about the statistics of various countries. Just by going to the country ranking page, one can see that almost every member of ATLANTIS is in the top 10, with Canada and Argentina following not too far behind, at 13 and 14 respectively. These countries make the top 15 for a reason, because they've got active members and good leadership. That's not to say that this is something PEACE lacks, but the top three countries of eRepublik, eSpain, eUSA and eRomania are in ATLANTIS.

In the end, I'll let powers higher than me decide. Of course, whichever side we don't join will likely invade us, and without a hospital or a defense system, I doubt we'll last long. I personally fear PEACE far more than ATLANTIS. In consideration of this, we must guarantee support of the side we join before we join it. Here's where Balash's donations can come in. If we commit gold and money to various Presidents of PEACE or ATLANTIS, we may ensure that we're not totally destroyed.
