Asking for donations to advertise for new players

Heyas.

I am asking for donations to advertise on facebook, to attract new players to eAustralia. Facebook, in my opinion, is the best option, as you can select your demographic. You can stipulate you want it to be advertised to Aussies, or people that are Aussies and like politics and games, just as a few examples.

While this method may prove as unfruitful as the rest of the attempts at a babyboom for eAus, I really feel this is our best shot. Others tend to agree, and I have already received some donations, and quite significant ones.

So this may get expensive if we want to do it right. This would cost us around $50 a fortnight to be effective. Basically, facebook ads work on a 'bids' system, which means, you set the audience you are aiming for, and if another advertiser has the same audience and bid more, their ad shows before yours. So if we bid middle of the road, at a per click rate, which means you pay for each person that clicks on your ad, then it would cost us around $50 a fortnight.

If I can raise a couple of hundred dollars, and keep the ad running for a couple of months, hopefully 3, then we may hopefully, with the right eye candy, suck in enough facebook clickers to keep us a handful of new citizens.
