Hello there!

I am Asher Di Immortales and I’m running to represent you in the South East of England. This article is going to give you a quick overview of the main reasons why you should vote for me, so for a longer look at my experience and values, feel free to look at previous manifestos.



Before we start I'd like to tell you a quick story about my history with the South East of England and consequently why it's important to me. When I first started in Summer 2009, a few days after making my account I had to go away for a couple of weeks. With very little money and virtually no experience, in an effort to save my account from dying I had a look at who my local Members of Parliament were in the South East. I decided to send off a message to Stefan1992, my local TUP Congressman, and it's fortunate I did, as within hours he had sent me money and a helpful message full of advice, therefore my citizen survived my absence and I returned to pursue a career in ePolitics.



The reason I've shared that story is because for me, it embodies the best about regional Congressmen and about TUP Congressmen in particular. To this day I've remained friends with Stefan and the others I've met within The Unity Party and without the initial help I received I would almost certainly have stopped playing eRepublik way back in Summer 2009. Thanks to new initiatives pioneered by TUP and others, such as The Unity Food Programme, new players now have much more help available to them, so situations like mine can be resolved more easily. However the fundamental principle of local MPs looking out for their constituents and helping them where necessary is something I feel is very important, so if elected it is something I would pursue with enthusiasm. Anyway, on with the manifesto.



Experience

With 13 previous terms in Congress and a great track record in the House of Commons, I feel I am well placed to deal with the day-to-day legislative responsibilities of a Congressman. On top of this, I have extensive domestic experience, with over 6 months of experience in various Under-Ministerial roles in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Militarily I’ve been a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy, before starting a militia a while back, Camelot, which is still going strong. I’ve also spent time in various economic and foreign affairs capacities and I’ve spent multiple terms as Vice-Party President of TUP and I was Party President a few months ago.



Values

I believe that by working together we can achieve more than we would alone, and as such I’ve always tried to encourage community schemes and initiatives aimed at empowering the majority, not the minority. While Party President of TUP I started up Unity Welcome Baskets and for a number of months I ran The Unity Food Programme. I feel that schemes like these not only empower the individual, but help the country as a whole by increasing player efficiency and therefore improving work output and strength gained, making the eUK as a whole more powerful.

I also take a strong stance on those who abuse positions of authority. For instance, I pushed for legislating the military when 4000 gold’s worth of companies was lost and more recently I pushed for far greater sanctions when a position of responsibility was abused in the military. If elected I will continue to uphold accountability in government to make a fairer, more open eUK.
