Who are the Armenians:
The Armenians are a nation and ethnic group originating in the Caucasus and in the Armenian Highlands. A large concentration of them has remained there, especially in Armenia, but many of them are also scattered elsewhere throughout the world creating the Armenian Diaspora. The Armenians have had a significant presence in countries such as Georgia, Iran, Russia, and Ukraine due to their proximity to Armenia. After the Armenian Genocide, a large influx of survivors fled to France, the United States, Argentina, the Levant and other countries that welcomed the Armenians. There are an estimated 9 to 10 million Armenians around the world. Christianized in the early 4th century, Arsacid Armenia became the first Christian nation, although Christianity had begun to spread in Armenia soon after Christ's death, due to the efforts of two of his apostles, St. Jude and St. Bartholomew, thus most Armenians adhere to the Armenian Apostolic Church, a Monophysite church. Armenians have had a presence in the Armenian Highland for over four thousand years, since the time when Haik, the legendary patriarch and founder of the first Armenian nation, led them to victory over Bel of Babylon. Today, with a population of 3.5 million, they not only constitute an overwhelming majority in Armenia, but also in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenians in the diaspora informally refer to them as Hayastantsis, meaning those that are from Armenia. The country itself is secular as a result of Soviet domination, but most of its citizens are Apostolic Armenian Christian.
Armenian Diaspora
Although an Armenian diaspora existed since the Armenian loss of statehood in 1375 (when the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia fell to the Mamelukes), it grew in size only after the Armenian Genocide. Although many Armenians perished, others managed to escape, and established themselves in various Eastern European cities, such as Moscow/Russia; Sochi/Russia; Odessa/Ukraine; Sevastopol/Crimea (Ukraine); Tbilisi/Georgia; Batumi/Georgia; Plovdiv.
Others emigrated to the The Balkans, such as Bulgaria and Athens/Greece. Yet others emigrated to Middle Eastern cities, such as and Aleppo/Syria and Beirut/Lebanon.
There are no reliable official figures about the Armenian diaspora. But there is general agreement on the countries with the large number of Armenians (excluding Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh).
These Armenian diaspora communities are:
* Russia - around 1,130,000
* United States - around 1,000,000
* France - around 500,000
* Iran - around 400,000 but diminishing
* Georgia - around 250,000
* Syria - around 190,000
* Lebanon - around 140,000
* Argentina - around 130,000
* Ukraine - around 100,000
* Poland - around 100,000
Smaller but substantial Armenian communities are found in approximate figures in: Jordan (5,000), Uzbekistan (70,000), Canada (60,000), Germany (60,000), Brazil (50,000), Australia (50,000), Spain (42,000), Turkey 40,000 excluding the Armenian-descent Hamshenis), Greece (35,000), Bulgaria (30,000), Turkmenistan (30,000), Belarus (25,000), Kazakhstan (25,000), the Netherlands (25,000), Iraq (20,000), Uruguay (20,000), United Kingdom (20,000), Hungary (15,000), Belgium (10,000), Czech Republic (10,000), Israel (10,000) and Mexico (10,000). In addition a total of 50 countries where less than 10,000 Armenians live in each country.
And now we ask you to support our Armenian Community and help us in adding Armenia to eRepublik.

Thank you all for your support!
Comments
we have some armenians in romania also..
in fact quite alot.
Good luck, and may you be blessed with no turkish aggression
You have my full support 🙂
Voted! 🙂
Armenia would be taken over by the eRomanians before you guys can get any defense. That's what happened to eRussia. Except we were hacked.
@Cycieties:
We like to take our chances. 😉
besides the chances, I don't think eRomanians are as harsh as you would describe them to go against a small nation and take over it for no reasons. We have enough diaspora Armenians in Romania to have their respect and honor!
You have my full support, as well!
i agree with Cycities. if not romania, iran or turkey most likely will occupy you.. the question is what resources you will have to be fought over!
you would have to support, wait and see! How about we ask our brothers in Iran if they will occupy us! Gotta be more positive about things!
Ashot
Good inputs!
I hope you get your own state... but it would be a very small state in a very dangerous part of the world.
Good Luck!
