Are the guns greener on the other side?

Day 807, 16:34 Published in Ireland Ireland by Nithraldur

Are they? You’d think so, because the CONGRESS APPROVED Q5 company, specifically intended to supply Irelands’s elite troops and tanks with adequate weaponry is taking some of it’s sweet time to be developed. Stay with me, this article contains more then an IDF commercial..

How long, you ask?

For those of you who haven’t been checking the Dail (you should check up on them, else they’ll just eat pizza and drink all day), the voting was closed on the 30th of January at 8.22 PM! This means that it’s taken them 6 days, nearly a week to simply transfer funds from 1 location to the other. Now, don’t take this as a form of criticism. I too don’t think that the people in our Dail are this inadequate for the position. No, what I suspect is that there are some officials with access to the right places that are willingly delaying the distribution of these funds. Willingly working against our government from the inside!

Who and why, you ask?

I won’t be calling out any names, but I just want the one(s) responsible to know, that I know too. As for the ‘why?’ part, well, if I were to be allowed to make a random jab at a probable hypothesis, I’d say that there is a duet of 2 disgruntled individuals that disapproved the proposal but didn’t get to persuade enough members of congress. The voting talley ended positive, the proposal passed. How can they still stop this than? Well there’s really only one way, and that’s having access to a government account that hoards Ireland’s gold and stop it from flowing.

What do these individuals have to gain from this move, ultimately? Surely they will be uncovered by someone? Well people, here’s where their ‘genius’ steps in… Again, if you’d allow me to make a small judgement call, I’d say they are hoping for someone – not Edana – to win the elections. Uhoh? What do you mean? Maybe, just maybe, they are hoping that the President will try and override the Dail vote?

Is this all constitutional? Is it RIGHT to willingly collaborate and oppose the Dail, even after a vote has succesfully passed? Well, in my opinion, no it most definately is not. Although, like I said before, this is just me making some educated assumptions, follow them, don’t follow them or go out and investigate for yourself, it doesn’t matter to me. All that I want to say is, why is Ireland against equipping it’s army? You wish war, you ache for deployments, you grasp for international involvement…..yet…you do not wish for your military to be able to do it’s job?

Let me stress this once more, the gentlemen(women) that you have elected to be the voices of the people in the Dail, have approved the arming of the Irish troops, yet it’s not getting executed. Ask yourselves…why….why? How is this possible and who is responsible? Keep in mind, everything I have just said, everything above this is a matter of personal opinion. They are not facts. They are, like I said, educated assumptions. Logical assumptions, with perhaps some insider information added to it (that some didn't want to get out). Intrigued? Go and find out for yourselves, please!

What are the consequences, you ask?

Those are simple. Ireland’s premier fighting group, the first line of defence, the men that everyone counts on to be there when it’s needed, the men that the citizens of Ireland call upon to do the damage that is so sorely needed…….will not be there to deal the damage. Ireland will not have it’s strongest warriors doing the damage that they can. Ireland will even be a greater pushover. Ireland will not become a player on the international scene. Ireland will not be able to convince youngsters to enlist that could possibly have become one of the greats one day.

I ask you, is this all worth it, in order for a handful of sour – minded individuals to get their way? Are they allowed to play around, when it concerns matters of national security? When it comes down to the defence of the nation? I’ll let you again, be the judge of that. I am merely an Officer of the Irish Defence Forces, an Officer that has to go to work tomorrow, telling his men and women, that they won’t be getting their weapons anytime soon. The suits are blocking us, lads. The suits that are supposed to be running the country, that we vowed to defend with our blood, are blocking us.

Guess how they will react?

Can you imagine?

You think you can.

You’re not even close.

Ireland, heed the call of your defenders, we are here for you. Are you here for us?
