Richardson Approval Numbers Up Amidst War
President Harrison Richardson, the first president to face an all out war on American soil, has an improved job approval rating. APS's last accuTRACK poll was conducted shortly after the U.S.-PEACE war began; at the time, Richardson recieved a respectable 47% approval rating. Now that the war has escalated, the President commands a 61% job approval rating.

There is no question about it, the war has directly influenced his numbers. President Richardson has increased multipartisan support, with CVP/Libertarian approval up 24 percentage points, while his USWP/AAP support has remained unchanged at approximately 63%.

However, two-thirds of Americans who were either "pessimistic" or "indifferent" about the current war disapprove of the job President Richardson is doing. Out of all respondents 33% fit the aforementioned category, while a majority - 52% - were "optimistic" about the current war.

Richardson's Marks on Military/Foreign Affairs Remain Good
President Richardson has maintained high marks on military/foreign affairs since the war first began earlier this month. The percentage of Americans who believe that Richardson is doing a "good", or "remarkable" job on military/foreign affairs remains almost the same at 48%.

The public has largely shifted from the "bad" and "failing" categories to "satisfactory". Only 18% of Americans think that the President is doing a less than satisfactory job concerning the military, while a strong 33% grade his performance as satisfactory.
